Piper Scott’s love of reading began at age ten, when she discovered that the magical worlds in adult fantasy novels were way more exciting than playground politics. As she grew up, so did her reading habits, and now not only does she like to read books on the steamy side, but she loves to write them, too.

A Canadian by birth but an American by marriage, Piper currently resides in Southern Illinois, where she leads a quiet life with her husband, their three dogs, a very demanding cat, and her office mate—her pet rabbit.

If you love Piper’s omegaverse, mpreg, and paranormal romance books, be sure to check out her work as her gay contemporary romance alter ego, Emma Alcott!

Piper's books are interconnected. For complete immersion, the recommended reading order is as follows:

Rutledge Brothers Series:

Love Me > Save Me > Keep Me

His Command Series:

Obey > Beg > Stay > Heal > Breathe

Single Dad Support Group Series:

The Problem > The Proposal > The Solution > The Decision > The Promise > The Answer > Single Dad Sundays

*The Forbidden Desires series, co-written with Virginia Kelly, takes place concurrent to the events of Breathe. All other co-writes are not directly connected to Piper's omegaverse.

The Single Dad Support Group the third series in the Aurora, Colorado Omegaverse. The first two series are The Rutledge Brothers and His Command, in that order. Each series is connected and overlaps with each other, but it’s not necessary to read the previous series to really enjoy the other series. However, I found it much more enjoyable because I had insights to reoccurring characters. Be aware that this is an A/B/O universe and mpreg occurs – if that’s not your cup of tea, then you are better off reading something else.

“The Problem” is set a couple of decades after the His Command series ends, although it’s not quite apparent right away. Laurence is a single alpha dad of a teenage omega son. He works as a scientist with a very big and successful company. On the advice of his boss, he attends an art show – something completely out of his comfort zone. Attending this show changes Laurence’s life when he meets Alex, the beautiful and sexy omega artist who captures his heart. The romance between Laurence and Alex is as exciting as it is sexy and delicious. There’s a lot that goes on in this book, and a lot of obstacles the characters have to overcome, but I had no trouble following the plot and loved every, single moment I spent with this book.

Piper Scott’s writing has improved so much in each and every book she’s written. I was incredibly impressed with her writing in this book, and loved her descriptions and the plot pacing. The writing was very smooth and so easy to read. The characters were very well developed and I fell in love with them. Plus, Piper Scott writes some of the absolute best sex scenes I have ever read. They are so hot, erotic, and unique, plus they fit perfectly in the story without feeling over the top.

The audiobook was narrated by Michael Ferraiuolo who is one of my favorite narrators. He has a gift for voicing characters – keeping the voices distinct and consistent, as well as incorporating so much emotion and energy into his performance. I listened to this book while I was hiking and I didn’t want to finish my hike because I was so caught up in the story. The production of this audiobook was extremely well done, and I’m so happy it’s in my library because I will definitely be re-listening to it in the future.

I highly recommend this book and would happily gush about it to anyone who asks.

I will admit it's a little difficult at first to keep all the screen names in the group chat straight, especially because we haven't gotten to their stories yet but that becomes no issue later on. The mcs in this were fleshed out and likable, and I enjoyed the mental color aspect thing. Overall a satisfying read!

Laurence is a 42 year old scientist and single dad, who has spent his life taking care of his 16 year old son. At an art exhibit, he meets 21 year old Alex. Alex is the painter whose art is on display, but he is also the man who is about to seduce Laurence and change his life forever.
They have instant chemistry but there are some obsticles they will face if they decide to try to make it work together. Plus, there is an unexpected surprise on its way.
Good thing Laurence has his Single Dads support group to help him make sense of the colorful crazy world he has just discovered.
Great characters and storyline. Definitely a recommended book.

I debated reviewing this one . If you push through its a good enough story . The beginning was confusing to me . I was lost as to who was who & what they had to do with the story of single dad . The middle got better & the story lines clearer . The ending was just plain corny to me . Will I read the 2nd ? Maybe but only if it's Gage . I found him relatable for some reason but then again maybe not . I really don't know !

A 4.5 is my rating. Read the book in one sitting and loved it. The meeting between Laurence and Alex was both profound and hot. Then intensity of colours in Alex's life and the manner in which he used them to judge the world. The intensity of emotions between the men. The hotness of their sexual attraction.

Looking forward to book 2!! I want to Keane more about the men behind the single dad support group.

This is an omegaverse romance novel set in the town of Aurora, Colorado. Though this is the first in this series, I just found out that this is the third series written in this world but it’s a great book concept thus far! I won’t recap the book blurb except to say that this is an age gap book with developing Daddy/boy concepts. There are so many beautiful moments in this book that is hard to share in a way where I won’t give it away but it’s definitely worth reading if you like mpreg type books. There’s a more gritty element here than I am used to in the fluffiness of the usual Omegaverse; I love it’s raw “humanness” and the responses to such.

This was a good book. There is a bad bad man who hurts people, and it’s sad. Laurence is so rock steady and amazing. I really wanted to shake Gage, he was letting his family suffer trying to be noble.

I was very intrigued by the description of this book, and pretty excited to dig into the story. Unfortunately I just couldn't keep my attention on it. There was a lot of unnecessary fluff in between the speaking parts, and towards the end I started skipping over full paragraphs. *Spoiler Ahead* I will also mention there should have been some kind of warning about child predators or abuse. I almost stopped reading at the mention of a teenager and grown man together. I know the dots were later connected and there was an element of surprise to it, but I was very hesitant that this book was condoning it. Just not my favorite book, but I like the storyline.

So many layers... The plot and characterisation is so thrilling, I forgot I was reading an alpha/omega fanatasy. I fell in love with each character. Laughed and cried and rejoyced at their HEA. Will definitely revisit as an emotional support book series!

OMG!! I loved this series! The stories are about this eclectic group of single dads supporting each other through chat. This first book told us the story of Laurence and Alex, and how they got together, after many angst situations, thanks to love, family and friendship. Emotional and intense, the happy ending deserved every single tear I shed. Loved it!

Book #5 is the only great book in this series. This one is good enough. The others in the series I honestly skimmed. Harley's book is so bad... You can feel the author's heart wasn't in it at all. Book 5 (Jayne's) is a masterpiece. These are all sort of insta-love books, the only one convincing enough is book 5.
