Mancini and Murphy had worked together when they found themselves after the same target. Then Mancini betrayed his Italian boss and Murphy could not forgive that and sets out to kill him. After months of cat and mouse chasing Murphy finds out that Mancini had good reasons for his actions and they end up having angry, passionate sex. Everything gets very complicated with more mafia families going to war, lots of secrets, danger, and raw sex. A good read.

    This book was dark but the romance and humor more than make up for it. Considering both MCs are assassins, that's saying something. I liked that while the story focused mainly on Ardan and Gave, we still got to revisit the main storyline about all the mobs and what it means for Killough Company. It was really well done!

    Also, whoever is in charge of the book covers is doing an amazing job. I can't wait for the upcoming books, especially those involving Conall and Sloan.

    Overall, I have not been giving the titles in this series high marks. I am hesitant to do so here, but again. but this particular book fared a little better.

    The characters were more interesting and more engaging. The plot was a bit tighter. There actually was a plot this time! And I got involved a few times, here and there.

    Still not a great (or even good) series, but this one was the best of the bunch so far.

    This 3rd book finds an Irish assassin, Ardan, and Italian hitman, Gabriel, playing cat and mouse all while denying their attraction to each other. As they attempt to "kill" each other, truths are uncovered and feelings get involved leaving them vulnerable to both their enemies and each other. They end up joining forces again and their sex is smoking hot. I loved Gabriel calling Ardan tesoro, treasure, in Italian. Of course Sloan and Conall are part of this continuing series. I highly recommend this series and can't wait for book 4. We have not seen the last of Ardan and Gabriel nor Sloan and Conall which makes me happy.

    This one ended up just being okay. A lot of the plot felt drawn out, trying to justify a romance that ended up being too easy. Still, Sloan and Conall saved the day in their brief scenes. And now this couple has been established, I think their future appearances/second book will feel smoother. Hope we don't have to wait much longer for the next books.

    Linked to the other stories in this series (& world) we learn more about Killough's assassin and the fallout of the events in books 1 and 2.

    This story is fast paced and sexy, full of lust and chemistry. Not as much thrill or intriguing as the other stories but still fun. The twist near the end shocked me but I loved the HFN ending.

    The overarching story continues and is still not "resolved". I look forward to more in this series and these characters soon!!

Great development for "secondary" characters from the past books, it's nice to see everyone getting their own books and learning their stories and backgrounds; makes everyone way more interesting and now I want to re-read every book in the series. Amazing job, as always!

    I enjoyed this book and we get to see not only Ardan and Sloan but cameos from Conall, Rourke and Forrest.
    The story was good but I thought it went a bit askew towards the end when Mancini suddenly became a comedian. You’d imagine that someone who’d just started working for a man who he doesn’t know well and who doesn’t fully trust him would want to start of on a more professional basis not cracking jokes and feeling up his fellow employee right outside the bosses door. I felt there should be more awareness and professionalism from someone in the lions den so to speak.
    I’m saying that looking forward to seeing how the story progresses in the best book
