Great book!
THE PERFECT FIT by D. Lilac is a sweet with some spice and drama love story about Eli and Ruby. I connected with Ruby easily but found myself being team Eli for a lot of the book. He was so easy to like and I was rooting for him. The single parent trope gets me every time.

    I liked the book, the last 3/4 of the book was great. The beginning of the book was slow and I feel you missed a lot of opportunities with their relationship. I don't feel the siblings and friends were really explained in the beginning you kind of figured out who everyone was and their role half way till the end. Great story line.

    I adored this characters especially Eli. When I first started I was kinda worried about the naughty bits being vanilla for my taste, but oh no! Eli goes from gentleman to daddy real quick ( and I don't mean he has kids) Ruby's character development was alo on point.

    Curvy woman and single mom is not a common topic + with a younger guy = interesting combination.
    And this absolute chemistry does the rest.
    I laughed ( when little Mase sees Eli's "willy") and this chemistry is obvious. Yes she's scared. He is too.
    She's used to raise the kids alone and it is not easy to let someone come in your life again because as a single mom you are used to do everything by yourself. ( i liked the descriptions, this is so true in real life- this permanent exhaution) . But he wants all. Mom and kids come in a package.
    This book comes in a series, after Luis&Ashley and Eli&Ruby, i can not wait to read the other gems.

    What a heart warming and steamy read. Ruby is a single momma bear, who catches the eye of her kids baseball coach. She doesn’t put her own needs first but Eli does. She has insecurities but she’s perfectly imperfect.

    The Perfect Fit is the first book in the Gemstone Sisters Series and tells the story of Ruby, a divorced single mother. Now in her mid-thirties, Ruby hasn’t the time, energy nor inclination to think about romance.. until she meets Eli! However, Eli is just 28, so Ruby believes that he wouldn’t be interested in her, thinking he’d be better off with a younger, skinnier girl who doesn’t have kids. Ruby could not be further from the truth, since Eli is not only smitten with her but has grown to care for her sons too.
    The Perfect Fit is a slow-burner romance with a fair bit of steamy passion. The author D. Lilac, writes with warmth, humour and compassion for her characters. I particularly enjoyed the portrayals of Ruby’s boys, Mase and MJ and their interactions with Eli. The narrative is dual POV so the reader gets to know both Ruby and Eli and wants the best for both characters.
    I found this book to be a compelling and easy read. There was one sex scene which made me uneasy and felt rather 1970’s brutish and out of character for Eli, especially since there was no follow up reflections from him. Overall, though The Perfect Fit is a well thought through story that I’d recommend.
