    What kind of world is this! I can't even begin to imagine the world or the lives of the people Jessie's cases involve.

    $1000 for one meal!?! That's just insane!

    I LOVE this series and all the characters and the twists.

    And I am still holding out hope that all is not lost, that certain people will make the correct choices in the end.

    I REFUSE to give up hope.

    This story starts out with the reminder of Ryan wanting to marry Jessie and he giving her the 💍 ring. He gave her the ring 💍 in California place in the mountains Wildwood Pines where they finally caught the Night Hunter and was killed by Hannah, Jessie's sister. Ryan and Jessie are put on a case in Santa Monica, CA and Brentwood, CA where the women were killed the same way. The killer slit their throat and an artery in their leg 🦵 and even lifted their 🎭 to watch them die. It was definitely a story worthy of Blake Pierce. I highly recommend this another Jessie Hunt thriller, the Perfect Image.

Jessie Hunt is a criminal profiler who works as a consultant to the LAPD. The book opens with her boyfriend of many years proposing. Ryan is a detective for the LAPD and the two frequently work together. Soon they're called in to solve two very similar murders. The women were killed by having arteries in their throats and legs cut. They race the clock to find connections between the victims before another woman is killed, while also dealing with issues at home with Jessie's sister. The action doesn't let up until the final page and it is a truly exciting read!

Only thing is in real life, murders are not solved in 48 hours so it is nice to escape reality and indulge in good triumphing over evil always. Thank you for keeping this hope alive. We need to have good win more often.
