About the author

Author Stephanie Keyes is a geek, a dreamer, and a hopeful romantic who writes books ranging from young adult fantasy to adult contemporary romance. Keyes won the RONE Award for Best YA Book of 2019 and took 2nd place in the Romance Writers of America Athena Awards For Excellence in NA & YA Fiction, both for The Spellbinder’s Sonata. As a romance author, she was a finalist in the 2018 International Book Awards for her debut romance, The Internship of Pippa Darling. In addition, she has also written under the pen name Gemma McKay.
Steph is an IT professional, teacher, and speaker. She lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with her husband and two boys. When she's not writing, Steph plays the clarinet, reads constantly, paints, and loves game night with the rest of the fam. Fun fact: Steph's pen surname (Keyes) is borrowed from her great-great-great-grandfather John Keyes, who was forced to abandon it to avoid persecution in Ireland over two hundred years ago.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 31, 2013Keyes did it again with the conclusion to her fantasy trio. Tons of action! I found myself really feeling along with the characters and yearning to see what would happen next! What a page-turner! The characters are so well-developed that I felt like they were my friends. The plot contains many twists and turns, but after an unresolved 2nd book in the series, readers can finally breathe! The romance between Kellen and Cali continues to grow and shows that Keyes is truly a romantic on top of it all! Highly recommended for anyone who loves fiction - not just fantasy!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 21, 2013It has been truly interesting to watch the characters and their relationship develop thru the series. It is a treat to follow these 2 lovers on their journey to find happiness. I didn't think the 2nd book could be matched but Stephanie Keyes has once again exceeded all expectations. She has convincingly created illusions that keep us on the end of our seat and craving more. I could not put this book down.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 7, 2015The ending didn't really strike me as phenomenal. It read like a fairy tale, but it started off the way so it had to end that way too. I liked the different perspectives, and they were told in the right order to keep suspense paced right. Gabe ended up being my favorite character. All hail shapeshifters!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 10, 2015The Star Catcher was a sit on the edge of your seat adventure. You never knew what was going to happen or how it would end. Full of family drama, love, reunited family and joy. Quite the ride. Excellent read!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 27, 2013This trilogy is great. It's as good if not better than most of the YA series that are currently being made into movies. A must read for anyone who enjoys this genre.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 10, 2015Very sweet ending to a lovely series! Gotta love a book with a wedding in it! I'll miss all of these wonderful characters.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
The Star Catcher by Stephanie Keyes is a superb conclusion to her Star Child series. I had the pleasure of reading all three books, and I'll be honest with you, it's been quite a while since I've read a Young Adult series that I felt was written fluently and I actually enjoyed as a whole. Stephanie Keyes' style of writing is easy for readers to understand, but that doesn't take away from the content at all. Through the Star Child series, she grabs her readers by the hand and escapes into a world of adventure, sacrifice, mystery, and most of all, indefatigable love.
In this series we meet Kellen St. James (okay, how awesome is that name?) on his graduation day. Kellen has been the victim of the most unfortunate circumstances: his mother is dead. His father is a rich snob who wants nothing to do with him. He is very much alone, aside from his 'Gran' who lived all the way across the globe until her death 3 months earlier. The only hope he has is a dream that has materialized into an experience and he isn't even sure if it's real.
As we travel through Star Child and The Fallen Stars, Keyes brings fantasy to a whole new level. By the end of the second book (which ends on a huge cliffhanger, BTW!) my mind was reeling. She had a way of adding just the perfect amount of intrigue that kept me wanting more. Just when you think you have most things figured out, she throws a curveball at you and mixes things up again.
The newest book, The Star Catcher, did not disappoint. Usually I find that in a series that one book lacks in content, or the author seems to have completely rushed the ending (this happens way more often than I wish it would. Note to authors: Keep going strong until the very end!). I was extremely pleased to find that the momentum of the story kept up until I turned that last page. This results in major brownie points for authors in my book! But anyway, I thought this was a great series. The only thing I would make a note of is the beginning of the first book started out a little slow. That isn't to say that nothing happened, but we didn't really get into the story until about a quarter way through. Other than that, I thought this was a great series.
If you're looking for a Young Adult series that is rich in content and will take you on a magickal journey of love and sacrifice with a touch of plot twisted pandemonium, then you need to run to the store and grab this series...you will love it! Oh, and you'll even enjoy looking at these GORGEOUS covers! I could just stare at them all day. I hope to see more from this author in the near future!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 22, 2014Cali has been taken. Kellen knows not by whom. all he knows his, he needs her, and they will be together! He now has control of a powerful amulet that is destined to joins all the worlds of Faerie back together, but at a price. Kellen must make a choice, and its not one he takes lightly. He also needs to find his father, his REAL father, not theone who was a changling placed in his place. Together, the two of them, will heal Faerie, and release the Children of Danu.
more twists and turns in this one than book two! the full Prophecy is revealed, Gage's secret is also finally revealed and we meet more of Cali's family that choose to become mortal. Gage also meets his soul mate, and finally understands what Kellen is going through, with Cali missing. Cali, meanwhile, is trying to remember all her father told her about the stars, and their back doors, so she can escape. Cali and Kellen get married, YAY! and they have their time together, even if is it short.
although this one doesnt flow QUITE as well as The Fallen Stars, its still much better than The Star Child, and even though Kellen and Cali get their moment, its relatively clean and still suitable, in MY opinion, for my 13 yr old to read.
i enjoyed following Kellen and Calienta on their journey, and even though i did not enjoy the first book very much, i will miss them now its all come to an end.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Ending!
I would like thank LAHE for sending me a copy of this in exchange for a fair and honest review (at least I think it was LAHE who sent this to me).
Cover!
I love all the covers in this series, this one is just as gorgeous.
Book!
Having read the 1st two books I couldn't wait to read this one too.
I love this series of books and I'm sad that it has ended or has it?
In this book we see the story from Kellens, Cali's and Gabe's point of view and this added another brilliant aspect to the story, I think Gabe is brilliant.
There's so much happens in this book but it is all told brilliantly and ties in with being told from the different POV's.
We also have new characters, some evil and some good, I love Gabe's new love interest Singer.
Stephanie had me guessing how things would turn out and would Kellen finally find his really father and complete his destiny, I really wasn't disappointed with the ending as I have been with so many other books.
