    This is the second book in the Maccon City Shifters and also a part of the Howls Romance series. It's a fast-paced and standalone book that will keep you engaged from start to finish. There's action, adventure, drama, danger, suspense, twist/turns, enemies, survival, intrigue, humor, mystery/secrets, surprises, family, friends/friendships, anger, fear, pain, conflict, resolution, confusion, confidence, strength, courage, trust, truths, stubbornness, struggles, protection, abuse, tension, arrogance, turmoil (emotional), annoyance, violence, healing, hope/hopelessness, desperation, confrontations, acceptance, complications, frustration, patience, determination, peace, happiness, romance, passion/lust and love.
    This is a story about how two people (h and H) are looking for that something/someone special in their lives and in this night the Christmas magic doesn't fail them.

    What a great Howls romance. Unlike many of them, there is no disaster to overcome but a wonderful instant love story between Dean and Violet. They were definitely fated to be together from the way they met to what transpired afterwards. I loved the characters. Violet really took things well and will be the perfect mate for Dean. The story ticked off a lot of boxes for me. There was plenty of steam, some fun and what looks like a very happy ever after. I wish there had been an epilogue set 5-10 years later but will have to use my imagination as to what their lives will be like in the future.

    Nail Technician Violet Martinez has been asked to attend to a client at home just before Christmas as there had been no minor problem with her manicure. Taking the equipment she needs with her and driving the distance to the client's home. On finishing work, Violet is driving to her own home when she is distracted by something and the worsening weather and hits a tree, becoming unconscious.

    Dean Romero is a tiger shifter and also the Neta or King of the Island Stripe Pride. After a very busy work schedule, all he wants is to spend time alone, relaxing and letting his tiger out to play, without being stalked by females out for what they can get.

    Out for a run in his tiger form, Dean is soon aware of the accident and the danger the driver is in. Getting to the car, he realises that she is his mate. Forcing access to the driver and getting her back to his spacious cabin and treating her injuries, which he knows are bad, leaves him with only one option, to claim her as his mate. How Violet reacts to the truths about what has happened and deals with the consequences. Add the new life experiences that she will need to accept for the happy endIng she has always dreamt of.
