Definitely a Sean E. Britten fan. Here, he offers what is ostensibly a horror-action novel that gives us a rather nice twist on the classic vampire tale by pulling, among other things, from Filipino folklore. And yet, the story takes place in the remote mountains of Mexico. Yep, it's that kind of story -- full of unexpected developments, characters and twists -- and ideal story for a movie. The book's a good length, but you'll want to race right through it to see how everything turns out. A perfect read for summer...or October!
