About the author

Megan is a long time resident of queer fantasy romance, and keeps herself busy reading, writing, and publishing it. She is often accused of fluff and nonsense. When she's not involved in writing, she likes to cook, cross-stitch, harass her cats, or watch movies. She loves to hear from readers, and can be found all over the internet.

- Reviewed in the United States on September 13, 2019As with all the books by this author, I enjoy the worlds she takes me to. There are amazing places I can see in my mind's eye and romance I can sigh over when I close the book. Most of all the characters are real in a way that you are invested in their stories and want to visit them again and again. Your imagination takes off as you ponder their lives after the story and the best story is the one you want to revisit at other moments in the character's lives.
So Megan Derr....thank-you!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 16, 2020This was cute, even if the sentence didn’t make a tremendous amount of sense. Derr has been focused on poly for awhile now, and this is another one, kind of par for the course for her now. Nothing special, just vintage Derr novella.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 11, 2020This story is as endearing and enthralling as the first. I love how it builds on the foundation laid in the first story. Anxiously awaiting more charming characters working their way through the first flush of 💘 love.
Trice City series: Highly recommended for all who crave a veritable confectionery of sweet stories filled will a plethora of paranormals and the occasional human who loves them.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 14, 2020I love Megan Derr's world building ability. The Toymaker's Hoard was no different than any of the other works I've read by her: engaging characters, interesting storylines. I enjoy her books and novellas so much.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 15, 2019I always love the work of this author, and this small story I liked very much.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 30, 2019The second in Derr's Trice City series, this tale circles together bits of fairy tale, politics and court procedural into a an m/m/m tale. The magical toymaker, dragons, sleeping beauties and faery gardeners all play a role. Generally sweet tale of a lonely Dragon stepping out from his comfortable Shoppe and finding life can be much better than he ever expected.
Likable characters, some discussion of racist anti-paranormal contingency and protests, successfully follows the worn but pleasurable fairytale road. The magical toys and the heights of Dragon ire are two features that enrich the tale.
If you like the sound of the Toymaker's Hoard, I can recommend:
The first in the Trice City series (Love Tokens), which involves demon and incubus in a little mystery solving.
Port in a Storm by K.L. Noone (and other tales)
A Flower For Tulip by R. Cooper (mm short story, fantasy) and the other Being books by R.Cooper.
Magpie Lord by K.C. Charles (historical mm fantasy)

4.0 out of 5 stars Diesen Drachen muss man einfach lieben!

5.0 out of 5 stars Praise
As always one of my favourites. I'm glad one of Megan Derr's earlier books made me better understand triads because their relationship is sweet and adorable.

5.0 out of 5 stars A really enjoyable threesome
I love Megan Derr's world building and this is no different. The story casts you immediately into the world of the Toy maker, as he navigates the city he lives and works in. Harran and Sula and their children made me smile - and the ending was, if not perfect - because life seldom is - it was right for them.
