Two Weeks and a Day (Finn's Pub Romance Book 2) Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 1,300 ratings

**A Standalone Romance From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author R.G. Alexander, Book 2 in the Finn's Pub Romance series!

Ever had a crush on your best friend?

That feeling when you're a thirty-year-old gay virgin with no social life, nosy neighbors and a lot of awkward, secret fantasies revolving around your straight best friend? Yeah, that's me right now.

Brendan Kinkaid was there for me during the darkest period of my life, so when the sexy pilot shows up suspended and needing a place to stay, there's no question I'll take him in.

That's when things get weird.

He's acting like a stranger. A stranger who wants to spend his two-week layover taking our friendship to another level. It's either the beginning of a great porno or a disaster waiting to happen.

I'm tempted to give in, but no matter what he says, I know he's not looking for a permanent place to land. And I'm not sure I can live with what I'll lose when he flies away again.

Warning: This book contains explicit m/m sex. Yep. Two guys getting naked and falling in love. With each other. Don't act so surprised. It may also contain bungee cord bondage, exhibitionism, massages with happy endings, a large cast of characters, and Peruvian flutes. Did I mention the sex?

*This book has characters from book 1 of the Finn Pub Romance series as well as a few from the bestselling Finn Factor series, but it can be read as a standalone if you don't feel like binging.

I love these little ditties!
I always enjoy a good Finn story, or a Finn-adjascent story in this case. It keeps their world and the characters the family associates with very present for all us avid R.G. Alexander fans while we wait for the next full book.

Miller and Brendan’s story is exactly what I expect from R.G. Alexander. It’s fun, hot, sweet, slightly chaotic, and very charming. The side characters add so much to each story and I alway want more of them. I really liked seeing Austin Wayne and Royal Hale in this book with snippets of JD Greene (all characters from previous Finn Factor and Finn Pub books).

Upon occasion I take it upon myself to combine reviews for a short series into one basic review. I do this for a lot of reasons, but in the case of this series, there are several reasons.

The first is that each book has a dominant character that you would not expect to be so, and is openly gay. In the first book it's 40-plus ex-Marine Carter, in the second it's late 20ish but still a virgin Miller, and the third it's serious rich and successful and recently dumped millionaire Joey. Oh, BTW, Joey is one of nine stepbrothers, all the same age (read the first book) of JD Green, the mid-20s gay virgin advice columnist whose life is transformed by that Marine, whom he has nicknamed Zeus.

The second reason is that the plots are basically the same, although the way they unfold is completely different. By that I mean you have some intense flirting by all concerned before the clothes come off, but every plotline sticks basically to the previous one until the HEAs.

The third reason is that even though the pairings are probably more rooted in fantasy than reality, the three couples who emerge do so with decency and integrity. Even the one whose 180-degree flip-flop I had difficulty swallowing at first (i.e., Brendan in the second book), had some redeeming value. But he did not hold a candle to Elliot the previously straight baseball player in the third book whose story was a bit convoluted on several levels but viable eventually.

No matter. All were decent reads, and if you did not read the previous series "The Finn Factor" (which I did not read) you might be a little lost in the beginning of the first book, but you'll be OK by the time you get rolling.

You never know if the second book in a New series is going to sink or swim. This one is swimming just fine. This is the sweet but uncertain romance of Brendan Kinkaid, sexy, handsome, airline pilot and Miller Day sexy, cute, massage therapists. Brendan is straight, spanning the globe with his sexual conquests. Miller is a 30 yr old virgin, in love with his straight best friend. THIS is classic R.G. Alexander writing gold. The characters are fantastic, funny, charming, sweet. The secondary characters are just as engaging and as important to the story. This is just a wonderfully written, beautiful love story, between two best friends. I loved this story, I've never met a FINN FACTOR family member or friend, I didn't fall in love with. This to me had a great over all vibe and amazing ending. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AND FINN'S PUB ROMANCE SERIES!!!!

I absolutely can't get enough of the Finn's and their friends. Everyone in their world is so colorful, beautiful, brutally honest and sexy as heck. AND they absolutely take care of the people who enter their world...either directly or "through a friend" lol. But in any case, this fun romance is Miller Day's story. He is friends of the Wayne's and without realizing it has been taken into their fold. What he believes to be his attempt at matching making has very different results for him and for his best friend Brendan. Will our Millie finally get his wish? Or will all just be a dream that he'll soon wake from. I adore all the cast of characters in this story from Royal to Austin, Fred, Heather and Diane

I loved book 1 in this series and this one is a good second one.

I liked to see some of the Finns although I haven't read all their stories and I kinda got confused who is and... with whom. Maybe less characters will make the next books in the series more easy to follow.

Brendan and Miller, on the other hand, are very sweet, cute and even though they have several problems in their relationship, the great chemistry they have attract them like magnets.

This is a fun, quick read, it has sass, gay-for-you vibes and amusing moments with loveable that make this an enjoyable book.

I loved this book. But then I love every MM book by this author, so am I really surprised?
I skipped around all over this series. I started with Curious, then One Night at Finns. And gah. If men like this actually existed, it would be all over for me.
This is a super sweet love story with just the right amount of drama - I hate when some books have a conflict that is contrived. Or characters loose consistency because the author wants to create a huge rift and then mend it. This author does an amazing job of staying true to the people she’s developed and bringing about realistic challenges. And the best part? So far (but I’ve only read the MM), no cheating. I hate that in any romance. Ménage? Fine. Poly? Sure. Cheating? Nope. Never. Romance is supposed to be ROMANTIC. Feels like no cheating should be a cardinal rule somewhere, and this author seems to know it.
I promise you will not regret reading this .. I got it for free with unlimited and liked it so much I went back and bought it. And every other MM book she’s written. Don’t judge me. LoL.
Really. Read it. Thank me later.
Or find me the cover model inspiration for “One Night at Finns” and we will call it even.

It’s very difficult to write a complete and satisfying shorter story without it feeling rushed, but RG does it again. I love the friends to lovers trope and no one does it better than this author. Brendan’s bad-boy antics lead him home to Miller, who has loved him since the day they met, but doesn’t realize Brendan feels the same. It was so delicious to watch them discover themselves as a couple, and ultimately as family. Every Finn Factor and related work is a one-click for me for a reason; I am never let down. If you try it, you’ll love it. They’re beautiful.

5.0 out of 5 stars R.G Alexander does it again..... need more from this outstanding series
Reviewed in Australia on September 20, 2018
The Finn Factor series was a cracker of a series, told via single and multiple 3rd POV and every single book was a standout. Slowly over eight books we were introduced to a huge chunk of the irresistible Finn family members and a variety of Wayne family members (including Thoreau, Austen and Bronte). The rest of the Wayne family was unveiled in Lawless, when Solomon and Hugo finally got their act together.

Not one to rest on her laurels, R.G Alexander did it again with her Finn's Pub spinoff, the first book, One night at Finn's, set the bar for what is undoubtedly a terrific series. Thanks to the Finn's Pub romance series, we were introduced to a whole new gaggle of characters starting with the romance advice columnist JD Green and his massive family of adopted brothers ( which included the larger than life pilot Royal) and retired-Marine Carter Willis, who sweeps JD off his feet.

Now there's book 2, Two weeks and a Day which sees, a reappearance of both Royal ( JD's adopted brother) and Austen ( Hugo Wayne's sister) and the introduction of Royal's best friend Brendan and Millar, Austen's BFF. IN this book, both couples get their HEA, though the road is somewhat rockier for our heroes, Brendan and Millar. Add in Fred, the snarky, super smart fifteen year old, Royal & Austen, and Heather and Diane, Millar's meddling lesbian neighbours and Millar and Brendan's boat was always sunk.

As like the 1st Finn's Pub book, this one is also told 1st POV, this time from Millar's perspective, Two Weeks and a Day is a sexy, fun, light-hearted romp about best friends who finally take that extra step.

If you’re a fan of the Finn Factor series, Finn's Pub Romance series is a fabulous, witty, smoking hot sexy series that you’re definitely going to want more, more, more of. Absolutely Highly recommended reading.

I loved this story, best friends to lovers.
One thought he had unrequited love for his straight friend. Seeing Brendan fight for his relationship with Miller was totally adorable.

This was a good addition to the Finn series, although not my favourite.

Miller Day is a massage therapist, Brendan Kincaid is his best friend, who is a pilot. Brendan travels a lot for work, so they don't get to hang out as much as they like. When Brendan is suspended from his job and evicted from his apartment, he needs somewhere to stay for two weeks.

Miller is looking forward to having him stay with him, although he is hiding a big secret: he is in love with Brendan. What he doesn't know is that Brendan is also hiding a secret, he loves Brendan.

There are many secondary characters that add to the story, including a 15 year-old she-he named Fred who means a great deal to Miller and a little dog named Dix.

    Enjoyable read.

This book actually had two romances; Miller and Brendan plus Royal and Bronte
Loved Miller and the family he has surrounding him are a great group of quirky and interesting characters, but my heart hurt for him and I wanted to smack Brendan around the head for his past treatment and actions more than once.
This is second in a spinoff series and can be read as a stand alone but personally these extra stories on the fringes of the Finn family world actually make me love the entire world and cast of characters more!
