Zayn Villetti is the crown prince of the London Mafia. It's a position he's not thrilled to hold. As with most men of immense power, he's bored. Right up until the moment she walks in, covered in blood and a hoodie sized too big for her.
Arianna Michaelson needed help, and the only man she knew who could help her was Zayn Villetti. And being who he is, Zayn doesn't do favors out of the goodness of his heart, and thus Ari and Zayn come to an arrangement.
And TYRANT is born.
Set in the same universe as The Four Horsemen, TYRANT inhabits a dark, dangerous world where men are powerful gods, answerable to few, if any, others. And for Zayn Villetti, he answers to one man more powerful than himself; his father.
What fascinates me about this story is Zayn Villetti himself. TYRANT is very much his story. Not that Arianna doesn't shine throughout the book, she does, but the drive behind the story is Zayn. You open this book, and a fully formed man steps out. A prince who hates his position, a killer who doesn't like to kill, a man of power who prefers to wield it behind the scenes. A man who wants to take care of those that matter to him. A man looking for love, and he doesn't know it. He's also a man who holds a grudge and will exact justice. Zayn is probably my favorite character of Sarah Bailey's, for his depth and realism. He's very much a living, breathing entity when you read him.
As for the steam, if you've read The Four Horseman series, in my opinion, the kink level is half of what it is the The Horsemen, but just as steamy. Again, that is my opinion. This isn't a vanilla tale. It's different, as it should be.
TYRANT is Book 1, and a stand alone in the Villetti Chronicles. With all the delicious characters in this series, I can't wait to see where Sarah Bailey takes us next

Arianna is my favorite kind of heroine - she is feisty, blunt, loves unconditionally, strong, smart and so brave. I loved watching her go from scared and lost to brave and courageously strong. She handled situations that others would break from with a determination that comes from being wiser beyond her years.
Zayn is the man of all men. He is controlled and calm, even in the face danger, yet he is also ruthless and smart. I absolutely loved watching his walls crumble with Ari. This man will do anything to be with his Tink and he proves it.
These two together are the hottest da** thing. I loved how they pushed each other’s buttons and yet loved each other so deeply that there are no words to describe it. I adored how Ari showed she was willing to protect Zayn at any cost just as he would her. I love how Zayn proved that nothing would stop him from having her by his side.
Sarah’s flawless writing took me on a journey that had me panting, swooning and on the edge of my seat. I could feel the love, fear, frustrations and determination of the main characters thru her words. I love the character growth and running across the Easter eggs. The twists and suspense kept me flipping the pages and the steam made me melt. Let me tell you, she didn’t hold back with the naughty parts - Daddy Zayn is a force to be reckoned with and I am so willing to be his pet, lol. Hands down, this is my top favorite read of the year and why Sarah still wears the crown as one of my all time favorite mafia romance authors.
