4.0 out of 5 stars 55 ratings

A deadly virus leads to a zombie apocalypse...but the worst is yet to come
Samantha's father is responsible for a lab accident that turned 90% of England's population into insatiable, undead creatures. Now they are on the run and fighting for survival. They seek refuge in a seemingly abandoned mansion.
But the mansion is haunted.
Soon, Sam is possessed by a demonic presence, one that aims to use her to elevate the zombie hoards into something much more powerful and deadly.
Sam's father is mankind's only hope. Can the man responsible for the end of the world find an antidote to stop Sam's terrible new super-race, and if so, at what cost?
This series contains strong, adult content. Do not read if easily offended.

This has got to be the most unique zombie book I have ever read. Its absolutely enthralling and actually quite believable too, at least, the author makes the plot completely believable. The characters have real depth, the plot yanks you in. It's an excellent book. I cannot wait to read the rest. Very impressive.
I love how different this is. The author has such a real genuine talent for storytelling.
Its actually scary too, and funny in places. A wild horror read

Let me be abundantly clear: I am SICK of the overused zombie genre. As with everything, if there isn't something that comes along ever so often and breathes life into an idea, eventually, it will fall by the wayside. Some, deservedly so. I have read many anthologies and novels that use this tired trope to no end. They are either trying their best to outdo, George A. Romero, or emulate THE WALKING DEAD.

Until now.

Justin Boote has come along and turned a now run-of-the-mill subject and shown us a new, and interesting way to view it and boy, am I thrilled to death (pardon the pun). He is a godsend. Both he and one of my favorite all time authors, Brian Keene, have their own unique spin on zombies and the way they act and why. Keene uses the supernatural angle, while Boote chooses a more scientific route. He doesn't leave you waiting until the end of this book, or until a followup novel, or the one after that, etc. No. He gets that all out of the way IN THE PROLOGUE! I'm glad that he did that as I hate being left hanging on and when the big reveal for the cause of a zombie outbreak is finally unveiled, you no longer care. Not so with THE UNDEAD POSSESSION: BOOK 1 INFESTATION. I was riveted the entire length of the story. I was kind of upset the book ended. I wanted more! I can't wait until the next one!

There is a subplot going on between the covers dealing with demonic entities. It is done so well it doesn't feel like it was just thrown in for filler, or tacked on. Most of the action and goings on occur between three people: a husband/father, wife/mother, and daughter. That's it. Most authors employee way too many moving parts to get their point across that characters get lost in the shuffle. Not a good sign of what is to come.

I can't recommend this book enough. Be aware, there are a lot of taboo, adult subject matters in this story. So if you are offended by anything that fits that category, you might want to shop around for safer fare. Because, let me tell ya, people, this ain't it.

This was not your normal zombie story, which I do love all things zombie. It is a unique zombie book with a twist of paranormal/daemon possession, with great characters that drew me in and kept me wanting more. So you get that creepy vibe, while also experiencing blood and gore and anticipating what's going to happen next. I am anxiously awaiting book 2.

I think a threw up in my mouth a few times, but man was I hooked.

This is my first book by Justin Boote, and I have to admit, I've never read anything quite like it. I have bought the rest of the series one time because I need to know where this is going and how it's going to end.

Boote has a rather straight forward writing style which I appreciate because it makes for a spooky telling and makes the gross scenes... well... super gross.

The descriptions were on point and like I said, I threw up a little. Here's to full on hugging the bowl with book 2.

If you love zombies and demons you'll love this story. There's gore, and some EXPLICIT scenes. This is Not for the faint of heart.
This is the first story in the series.
Chris, Jackie and their teen daughter Sam are hold up in an old home after a terrible outbreak causing ravenous hunger, turning people into zombies. Then throw in a demonic presence in the home Chris and Jackie experience strange things while the demon tries to take over their daughter.

I started reading this because of a thread on Facebook where this book series was motioned. The premise caught my eye and I just had to read to see how events unfolded to lead to such a story line. Let me tell you so far I am not disappointed. This book has some great characters. Horrible, but great. Who needs to like the MCs in a book? Not me. Anyway plenty of creepy, gross goings on in this book to keep you flipping pages long into the night. Plenty of moments where your brain just screams WTF?? There also appears to be some sort of supernatural presence manipulating the family within the home in which they are hunkered down. His bunk is a solid entry into the zombie sub genre. Probably one of the most entertaining zombie book I have read in quite awhile. I have to go now. Time to read book 2. I have so many questions I want answered. If you like zombies buy these books.

The ending off this book seems to be missing. Book to talks about Chris and Jackys excepting from there daught Samantha. And Samantha being shot. Book 1 dose not have the ending. What happened?

The book is awful. There are a
zombies but they are just an after thought. It reads like a sixteen year old wrote this. Stranded in a home with your parents. Zombies right outside. The whole world turned upside down and the only thing that takes up the first pages is a women having sex repeatedly with a dildo which is covered in great detail. I tried to actually read this but gave up after the first few pages. When I pay to read a horror book that is what I expect not this nonsense. Would give this book no stars if I could. Nonsense and dribble. Writer you got to do better or don't write at all.

I am a big fan of zombie reading but this was a very different experience, so much blood and guts and a lot of sex, very graphic, in a good way! You can envisage the characters so easily, I love that.

As If having to deal with zombies wasn't bad enough, it seems there is a supernatural presence to deal with too! Also, these zombies are able to communicate with each other and think for themselves! Scary stuff!
This series gets off to a very creepy start, and stays pretty creepy throughout! (I found myself seeing things out of the corner of my eye on more than one occasion whilst reading! 😉) It's also steamy 🥵, sick, brutal and gory, with some subtle humor weaved in too! Very well written, I loved every word of it!!
I also love how Justin mixes the zombie and demonic possession genres so smoothly! Like they were meant to go together! It's a very unique twist and it works really, really well!
I also related to this as it would be just my luck to be caught in a zombie apocalypse and the house I decide to seek shelter in is possessed by a demon! 👿😉
The story finishes with a great cliffhanger of an ending, leaving me desperate to continue the journey!!
    5 zombies from me 🧟‍♀️🧟‍♀️🧟‍♀️🧟‍♀️🧟‍♀️
