    I always find this millionaire trope rather farfetched, but Richmond has written an entertaining novel of non-shifter mpreg. Temp Jaimie spills coffee after encountering his mate Nickolas on his first day. Raunchy sex in the executive suite, clandestine dating, and an arranged engagement lead to angst filled days before the pregnancy is determined.
    Good writing, nice character development, proof that communication is key in any relationship. The contrasting family units provide views on the human makeup.

    Over all I liked it. I liked the chemistry between the 2 MC’s although it got a little “tropey” at parts and that was annoying.

    There were a couple of times I rolled my eyes at how “alpha” Nic got talking with another alpha friend. It was like bad acting between two frat bro’s talking about significant others. It only happened a couple times but it was enough to throw me out if the story.

    Nic hurt Jai’s feelings and definetely went through the wringer trying to make it up to him and I liked that. But after Jai forgave him it was almost like reading the cliff note version of a story.

    I really wanted more emotional growth ON page of the couple growing together to feel like this was a well rounded story.

    After the drama was over it would have been nice to have several scenes showing the sweet moments between the 2 MC’s I wanted/needed more if that.

    Heat level 2/5 the steamy scenes were well written. Nothing too crazy but good.

    I’d consider reading more from this author. This story had a lot going for it aside from the personal preferences stated above.
