Normally I try to write a review for each of the books I read, however I'm going to be honest here. I hate writing reviews. But I do it so the author can get the recognition they deserve for the books they work so hard to write.

I decided to wait until I finished reading this awesome M/M urban fantasy paranormal romance.

It was well written and parts of the trilogy had me thinking Twilight meets Supernatural.

And apparently I am a sucker for a good bonding ritual too, (even though I've read only one other)

I also kind of figured out that Wade is actually a witch back in the first book.

I cannot wait to read more about Wade and Caleb

This has been an exciting series. This story includes a new battle but also reveals a secret to Wade and his brother. It's all worth reading and the audiobook book adds to the excitement with great narration from John York.

I received an ARC and this is my unbiased opinion

Rhys Lawless was a new author for me and I'm so glad I've found her. I finished all three stories in one week and I can't wait for the next one. I loved the world building and characters, the adventures that the guys manage to find each time, fight between good and evil, suspense, action, romance, fun and always a HFN end.

A great continuation of the series! The only grrrr moments I had about it was the baddy. He's like a bad penny: die already, jeez! Sorry for feeling a little bloodthirsty about him (pun intended), I binge read the 3rd book right after the 2nd and it's almost 3am. Whatever my moments of annoyance were about the villain they were completely saved and redeemed by the great new characters who were introduced through out. The place where the book ended was a perfect sweet spot for now for the main characters and also opened the way for many different spin offs and continuations in this world. Excited that this is not the last time we'll be visiting this world and looking forward to future adventures.

As with previous books of this series, the high points are spot on perfection , and the low points are either boring, or I'm not sure if they really need to be included to enhance the story.
Wade is struggling to accept his new identity and let go from his past mistakes. Caleb is struggling to have more of an active role in an agency that the decived his so greatly. Yet changes need to happen and with those changes, hopefully, peace among all supes, not just witches.
What I really do enjoy about this series no one just gets away from mistakes they all must atone their sins. The found family aspect of the ever expanding core group is proving to be exceptional as well.
Cannot be read as a standalone. And this is not the end of their journey, but the end of their origin trilogy.

Caleb and Wade are confronted by an enemy they thought had been killed, instead Christian has gotten the vampire killing witches. Together Caleb, Wade and their friends fight to end the killing.

Read the whole series and highly recommend. The world and characters created are really exceptional. Love the relationship of the main characters and their romance is hot. Only reason not 5 stars is due to couple of the plot lines I felt were lacking like the same bad guy(bodywise) for all there books was too much. Caleb past just had too many major experiences that kept being referred to and if you can choose to get rid of an addiction then choose to get back just the memories of caleb...sorry for any spoiler!

This was wa fun series and brought the three book story arc to a satisfying conclusion. Better yet, there is plenty of room for further stories set in this universe created by the author. The series is full of rich characters and there are numerous possibities. Definitely worth reading.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great story

This third installment of the series was really really good.

It started slowly (ish) and very quickly took off at a fast pace that won't let you put the book down.

The story itself was very interesting and captivating, and, as it follows the events of the previous books, it closes a few open threads.

The love and relationship between Caleb and Wade deepened despite everything going on around them. I loved all the new characters coming to the front in this book.

It was a great book and the ending was perfect and so fitting for these two men and some of the people around them.

Can't wait to see what's next in that world and hopefully we get to see more of them all

4.0 out of 5 stars Great read, just too many loose threads to be a satisfactory ending
Reviewed in Australia on September 9, 2020
I have thoroughly enjoyed this series from the start, and loved seeing Caleb and Wade navigate all the issues and situations that arose, growing closer together along the way. I also loved seeing their friendship group grow - lots of new faces in this book! What I felt was missing from this book was a more solid resolution. In the afterword, the author states that this is only the end for now but that it is still meant to hint at the HEA for Caleb and Wade - even with that statement I feel there were a lot of loose threads still hanging around at the end of this book that needed better closure for this to be a solid resting point for the series. To many questions were left unanswered for me to feel satisfied with the ending. Still a great read, and still a series I would recommend to those looking for a good MM fantasy read.

An amazing "end" to this series... Christian is finally defeated, the new Order will be run by witches AND Nightcrawlers, the Angel Guard will protect them all and Wade and Caleb have their own little home to begin their new "normal".
Thank you Rhys for these stories

More please Mr Lawless. Another excellent addition to the series and a great sort of ending for the time being I hope. Fab new characters , some lovely scenes with some old ones and a new and exciting adventure set in a realistic, contemporary London.(even down to the overcharging cabs) . Excellent work 5 *
