Vampires of London: The Complete Collection: A Steamy Vampire Romance Anthology (Lorelei Moone Collections) Kindle Edition

3.9 out of 5 stars 33 ratings

Some romances last forever… Others end in misery.

Vampires exist. Unimaginable dangers lurk in London’s supernatural underworld, threatening our heroes’ chances for happiness.

In this dark yet sensual collection of present-day gothic romances, follow three immortals on their perilous quests for love. With each union forbidden in its own way, Alexander, Michael and Lucille face a difficult choice.

Follow the rules of the Vampire Council or resist and love whoever they want?

They risk punishment for going against their elders. And with dangerous forces waiting in the shadows, they also risk losing the people they love forever.

This collection contains: Alexander’s Blood Bride, Michael’s Soul Mate and Lucille’s Valentine. Three tales of passion, lust, suspense and redemption that will have you turning the pages until the very end.

Alexander’s Blood Bride

Alexander’s annual Halloween party allows him the chance to people-watch in peace. But this year, a human like no other walks into his mansion, and into his life. Cat. He vows to seduce her. To make her his. Cat, however, has other ideas…

Michael’s Soul Mate

Playboy Michael has never planned to settle down. When he finds a woman left for dead in the street, he turns her to save her life. In one seemingly random act of compassion his immortal life changes forever. As does hers, obviously.

Lucille’s Valentine

Marek the Soul Eater has escaped and Lucille must return him to the Vampire Council. She comes across vampire hunter, Valentino Conti, who chases the same menace. Intrigued, she proposes a collaboration. But he must never find out her real identity, or else…

One-click today to discover if these three lonely souls find the happy ending they so desperately desire!

Lorelei Moone is an author of paranormal romance based in London. A lover of all things sweet and caffeinated, when she's not writing about sweet yet sexy bear shifters and their strong-willed curvaceous love interests, Lorelei can be found baking cookies or cakes for her family.

She got her start writing bear shifters in the well received Scottish Werebear series, and its spin-off, Alpha Squad. Additionally, she's written the Vampires of London, and has begun her foray into paranormal fantasy romance with Shifters of Black Isle.

All of her books follow her own recipe of mixing strong heroes with a heart of gold along with a drizzle of action and suspense, a whole heap of sexiness, and a sprinkling of kick-ass heroines that don't always wait around to be rescued.

I have read each of these books separately and I am adding my reviews for them to this set.

Alexander's Blood Bride (Vampires of London #1)
Alexander is a very old vampire who has a yearly Halloween Bash at his luxurious estate. Shelly and her roommate Cat go. At first Cat thought, she would be bored but she becomes intrigued with the paintings and furnishings. Alexander is immediately taken with Cat but when he tries to make a move, it freaks her out and she leaves.
One issue now for Alexander is everyone in the Vamp world wants Catherine and he has no clue how to protect her unless she allows him back into her life. A damn Blood Bride is what she is. Things could go downhill quick.
Alexander is an alpha male but also has real intentions towards Catherine.
Catherine is no throw over although she is shy.
    A very good vampire story.

Michael's Soul Mate (Vampires of London #2)
We met Michael back in book 1 of this series. He is one hilarious vampire. Well Fate has something up her sleeve for this playboy. Enter Anna whom he finds one night lying almost dead after being attacked but by what? All Michael knows is he feels a pull towards this female and rescues her or does he? Michael carries so much guilt that it almost costs him this woman two times.
I enjoyed this story. Anna is a firecracker for sure and well Michael is Michael and if not for his good friend Alexander he would likely have lost the one thing that was meant for his.

Lucille's Valentine (Vampires of London #3)
We have met Lucille in the two previous books. She is an Enforcer on the Vampire Council and in the last book she has taken a criminal back to the council. But she wants to know what Marek is hiding. She is a bit shocked to find Julius knows who he is.
In the meantime she is sent out on another mission and whether she was to or not she will be working with another. This other hunter has wormed his way into her soul.
They both are out on the same mission to save mankind.
Will Lucille figure out why this other hunter seems so familiar? Valentino is just way pushing his way right into her every thought, every feeling. But can he accept Lucille for what she is? And can she accept him for what he is?
Well grab your copy and find out. This book gives you just the right amount of suspense, action and romance.

This boxed set of three about novella length stores is a nice read. Overall I really enjoyed the stories and will tell my thoughts on each book.

    Book 1: Alexander’s Blood Bride
This book was such a great start into this series! I immediately connected with the characters and was amazed on how good they were portrayed since it is “only” novella length. Yet the author manages to portray each character in his/her unique way with just a few words. It was truly amazing and I am really glad I could read this story.
Alexander and Cat fit very well together and overcome the obstacles that are thrown in their direction with ease – together.
There was just one thing that felt wrong for me: Cat’s unique trait seemed so important and like the hint to something far bigger and more dangerous and yet, in the end no one is interested in her anymore. That didn’t make so much sense.
    4 stars for this one

    Book 2: Michael’s Soul Mate
Michael and Anna. We already met Michael in Alexander’s book and he seemed like the typical cliché vampire: charming and womanizing. Well, in this book we see a completely different side of him and I am glad about it. He is caring and wants to protect his fledgling from the world and even himself. He still is charming, but sees that he can’t continue with his womanizing ways if he wants to keep Anna with him.
And Anna, beautiful, shy Anna. Her confusion and anger was really good portrayed and I liked her even more than Cat, because she showed more fire and managed to help herself to survive. She is a survivor and I would have loved for their story to be longer to see more of them.
    4 stars

    Book 3: Lucille’s Valentine
I didn’t like Lucille in the other books, not even when she helped Michael to find Anna. She seemed standoffish and a stickler to the rules who would have stabbed her brother in the back if her maker would have wanted her to. It continues this way in her book. Her actions don’t really make sense to me. Why does she want to know so much about the power Marek has achieved? What is in it for her? And also her “feelings” for Valentine didn’t seem real, or deep. Not like the feelings of the other couples in the series. Maybe it was my general dislike for Lucille that made me not enjoy her book as much as the first two ones, but yeah, I couldn’t connect with her. She seemed more shallow than all of the other characters in the other books, which made it hard for me to stay in the story.
Aaaand the end. I didn’t know what to do with it. Seriously. It felt incomplete and not thought through. In my opinion this book was the weakest of all three and would totally put me off from reading more of this series.
    2 stars

Overall I would recommend this boxed set as a fast and good read with nicely developed characters and a story line without plotholes or too many things that make no sense. The author has a good writing style that makes it easy to slip into the story and come back only when you have finished everything. Other than the last book I really liked the endings and all the things that happened.
    All in all: 3.5 stars

The characters are shallow (in my opinion), the storys are not deep or defined. The ideas are nice, but not well done. I have read many books which were written better.
