I am absolutely thrilled that this is out but only because it's out and finally recorded and released on audible and I knew I was going to really enjoy the entire series from start to finish as soon as I seen it on Amazon.com when it originally had been released for kindle and book print propuses only . I likely NBN any customers these day am a listener only so I wont ever enjoy any of the many outstanding books on kindle or print unless the author makes certain to have arrangements made for the titles to all get recorded and hopefully the sooner the better. So, the day book 1 was recorded and available on audible I instantly and immediately automatically downloaded without reading anything or hesitating about prices or etc and went right into listening. It actually was helpful in getting me through a absolutely awful hurricane storm where the worst and longest in power outages by just so also releasing another title since book 1 was initially released and I can not tell you how satisfying and enjoyable it was;). This book had as it all. From vampires, royalty, hierarchy, malice, twist and turns, manipulation and trechrory, romance, werewolves, the fae, events and parties with adventure world building and sooo much more!:)

    After killing Laila, Annika found out that she was a Nephilim and had Geneva transport her to the Haven for safety. Queen Mary was waiting for her arrival for years. Her destiny was to go on a dangerous quest and she accepted. Prince Jacen followed her there and talked things over ( the truth triumphs!) and she asked him to go with her on this quest. Princess Karina follows her there because she wants to make a request for Geneva to bring her dead husband Peter back from the dead. Can you believe it! That's all she thinks about. Boy is she in for a rude awakening.

    Hold on to your seats my friends because you are in for a bumpy ride. This book is fantastical and magical and full of all kinds of crazy good stuff. What can I say, you just have to read it! Five stars.

    My favorite books to read is mostly about vampires, wolfs, witches, etc. With a love story right in the middle of everything else. So I have to say this was the best series so far that I read. There where so many different twists that I never could see coming. But what I loved was the fact that not all ended badly and not all ended good either. For the audience the author was writing for it was just right. Now I will read some of the other series from the author, since I really enjoyed this one.

    The plot of this book in the series was more interesting than the last two books and I really enjoyed it. I felt it was more on the level of book one. I am interested in finding out what happens to the characters and how a newly introduced character reacts.

    While this book did have a bit of explaining what already happened, there was much less than the previous two books. However, there were a few chapters that had 4 or 5 characters explain what happened to another character back to back.
    One detail I'm sure will help the plot in book 5 came across as cheesy, and that was the main character's new found "spidey sense." It just made things a little too easy, to the point that I had no doubt the character would win. which diminished any sense of "danger" in that last battle. I would have loved to see a flaw in her new powers.

    This time I was not surprised to have it end at 88% as the author shove so much of another book in the back to puff up the page count. But it is a little jarring none-the-less when you're used to reading books that go at least until 95% before ending.

    Unfortunately the only thing keeping this book from gaining more than 3 stars is the amount of errors I came across that pulled me out of the story.

    Plot can carry a story (mostly), but paying attention to details and technical things is also important as those things can take a 5 star book and turn it in to a "just ok" book.

    The Vampire Fate by Michelle Madow is the fourth book in the young adult paranormal/fantasy series The Vampire Wish. The series began with Annika out skiing with her family when they were attacked by vampires with Annika being the only survivor. The vampires then took Annika hostage to the hidden vampire kingdom of the Vale where she was kept as a human blood slave to provide food for the vampires. It's in this kingdom where Annika met Jacen who was also taken by the vampires against his will but unlike Annika who still remains human Jacen was turned against his wishes and now fights his desire to kill for blood.

    Since the beginning of the story in the first book so much has happened in this fast paced adventure that I don't want to go into too many details and spoil the story for readers. As with other Michelle Madow books there is always plenty of jaw dropping moments included to keep a reader on the edge of their seat as the story unfolds over the course of the series. Some of the things included in this series though are of course the vampire kingdom the story begun in but the world has been expanded to learn of other kingdoms along with werewolves outside the borders, witches who bring their sorcery into the mix along with now touching upon nephilim.

    Most of the story has centered around the two main characters thus far of Annika and Jacen with them alternating their own points of view but there have also been chapters told from other key characters at different times during the books. As fast paced as they are the story is always easy to follow along with as more and more action is brought in to heighten the story. And even with being quick reads the world and character building is just enough to feel that you get to know exactly what is going on at each turn of the page.

    This has definitely been a series to hold my interest and always take me by surprise with each installment along the way and I'd certainly recommend checking it out to fans of this genre. I would definitely suggest though to start back at the beginning with the Vampire Wish otherwise a reader would probably be lost if jumping into the later books as it's one that has picked up where each left off and built upon that excitement.

    I rate this book a 5 star because of the exciting action and intrigue plus no sex, or cussing. I can't wait to read book 5! I would recommend this book of fans of folklore with vampires , and witches werewolves and fae. They always protest far as dark, but I read cars of light.

    This one would have to be my least favourite in the series and was a little disappointing in sections, the multiple perspectives were very frustrating and didn't flow as easily for me as a reader.

    I loved learning more about this world though especially the vampire side of things, it was great to get introduced to other characters too and see how they fit into the story as a whole.

    Annika was still the same old Annika, at times I felt her feel really sorry for herself but was cool to see her continue to grow, I liked to see her interact with the other vampires in the story though.

    Not a bad story.

    I would say this is better than the 3 previous novels. However, again, the author constantly repeats what has gone on before, when there is no need to keep referencing , when its a series.
    One thing was wrong in this novel, how Annika/Ana was shocked about how he tried to compel her, yet in the other novel when she was pretending to be a vampire, at dinner, he had told her he had.

    In this, there are a few twists, turns and events that take place, not gritty which pull you in and your totally absorbed, but enough for a better story line. I wasn't much for some traditional tales characters to appear, vampires and those characters made the story line more child like than true vampire, witches etc and for me it didn't connect so well.

    No idea why they say she is number one of their hit list, as no one comes after her to battle her etc, so that is baffling.

    I managed to read this in two hours, which again I disagree with it stating there are 250 pages.
    I think this series could of been made into one novel, as there isn't enough for it to be a series.

    Lots of secrets, Ana learning what she was, jacen finding out who Ana is, the queen dying and the vale in chaos, everyone wants the ring. Very descriptive and interesting twists and turns in the story can't wait for the next book, great series consistent throughout
