Excerpt:

I close the door behind him, watching as he drinks the room in. This is the first time I have seen him in casual clothes, and I hate to admit he looks hot, but there is zero point lying to myself.

Dark denim hugs his shapely a*s and highlights his strong thighs and long legs in his designer jeans. A long-sleeved gray Henley is stretched across his large biceps and muscular back. Ink covers both sides of his neck, crawling down underneath his top, and I wonder how much of his body is tattooed.

I guess I will find out in due course.

The thought equally thrills and terrifies me.

"Nice place you've got here," he says after a thorough inspection of my tastefully decorated personal living room, slowly turning around to face me.

"Thank you. I think so." His top is pulled so tight across his chest and abs it almost looks painted on. I can make out every dip and curve of his upper torso, and he's every bit a work of art. How the hell am I going to deny him? Especially if he goes out of his way to tease me, like I suspect he will? "How did you get my address?" I ask, stalking toward the couch and my wineglass.

"I'm quite handy with a computer, and it actually wasn't that difficult to find."

I know he's lying because there is no trace of my address on the internet. I make a mental note to check with my IT guy to see if anyone has somehow managed to hack into any of my systems. "Next time, call me if you plan to drop by unannounced. I was busy."

"Indulging your Viking fetish, I see." He wears an infuriating smirk on his handsome face.

"Have a seat," I say in a clipped tone, struggling to remain calm in the face of his aggravating presence. I drop down on the couch. "And I don't have a Viking fetish. I have an Alexander Dreymon one."

"Pfft." He rolls his eyes as he stands before me instead of sitting like a normal human. "He's completely overrated. Unlike me." Bending down, he brings his mouth to my ear. "I totally exceed expectations, and you'll quickly come to realize my value."

If there is one thing, Siobhan Davis is gonna do it is slay a story! Oh my word, did I freaking love this book! Catarina Conti was a bad a$$, boss a$$ chick, period. I mean she was just pure fire. There’s a lot of antiheroes that have stolen my heart, but now I have an antiheroine to add to my list. Siobhan Davis has delivered me a heroine that is truly incomparable. Catarina stands in an league of her own. She was a straight up savage, understandably and once you know her story you’re left in even more awe of her. The resilience she had was absolutely incredible. She had so much heart and even bigger balls than the men and I dare you to underestimate her because I promise it’ll be your first and last time. She’s honestly unlike any heroine I’ve ever met and has definitely made my list of favorites. Then there was Massimo Greco, the very man she should hate with every molecule in her turns out to be the one that changes the game. That mouth on that man could melt the panties right off of you and in the next moment swooning you off your feet. I loved the way he challenged Catarina, riled her up but most of all, I loved the way he loved her pure and unconditional. I loved the times he stood behind and let her lead and never treated her as less than his equal. But, don’t get it twisted because my guy Massimo was still as possessive and deadly an alpha as you can get. But, it was his tenderness, thoughtfulness and compassion that truly had me positively smitten for him. There wasn’t a single thing his Rina could do or say to shake him. He was nothing like you’d expect and tilted Catarina’s world fully off its axis. The banter between these two was utter perfection. It was entertaining but laced with the thickest of sexual tension that in turn lead to some epically steamy and Kindle melting moments. When I tell you I ate their story up enthusiastically! Catarina and Massimo were a match made in mafia heaven. A movement by themselves, but a force when they were together. Vengeance of a Mafia Queen was an all consuming, spectacular read and it gave every single thing I look for in a mafia, enemies to lovers, dark romance and then some. Siobhan Davis took mafia romance and uniquely made it her own with this book cementing it on my list of favorites and making for a read I’ll never forget.

    I will start this off by saying i fly through books so quick i rarely leave reviews. this book. THIS BOOOOOK. how have i been reading mafia books (and solely mafia books- yes i know i have a problem) for EIGHT MONTHS and hadn’t read this?????

    What a damn roller coaster ride. Everything i could’ve ever dreamed of in a mafia book. crazy hot badass mafia donNA (yes- u read that right) - who meets a freaking mafia man that helps her heal??? he’s so sweet and so charming and just oh so REAL!!!!

    I was really excited to read this book because I wanted to get to the twin Accardi boys' stories. I was intrigued by the hidden secrets from Massimo & Catarina, but it hyped up the tale all the more. Poor Catarina was dealt a cruel beginning to her teenage years & even more cruelty by her sicko hubby, but I think she dished out some righteous justice. Massimo come from a rotten heritage, but he made something out insanity of his family except his 1 remaining brother & had an awesome BROmance with another mafia kid that keep him striving to become the best at everything he attempted. I think he was out to distance himself, plus his remaining family, from evil insanity of his older brothers & his father. Catarina's tunnel if horrors is really hard to read about, but I believe that cruelty needs a spotlight on it to get the world to stop the madness & I applaud Mizz Siobhan for giving this topic out into the world & does a wonderful job giving Catarina a mate in Massimo which in turn save more than just these 2 characters. Hint, hint!! I wish I could give thus incredible take a perfect score, but I did have trouble with believing that all if Catarina's secrets could stat hidden for all those years, so I give this take my score of 4 fingers up & 8 toes.

    I'm so glad that i finally picked this book outta my long asf tbr list and it was so worth it.
    Catarina's story had me so emotional i cried many times and her love story with Massimo was like soul mates and it was a delight to see it happen.

    I believe ill go read the mazzones series at some point as well. I'm very curious abt Ben and Sierra and Nat and Leo.

    Once again, this author has done it, and made me fall completely in love with these two characters. She is a one click author and I knew I'd love this book, but I never knew I would love it this much. Vengeance of a Mafia Queen is brilliant, leaving you completely hooked after the first page, making you love these characters more and more as the pages pass by.     So I've read stories with FMCs who are strong in their own way, whether it's through their physical capabilities of their inner strength but never have I read one with an DOC who oozes with power the way Catarina does. Her intelligence, her inner strength, physically and her drive is something to behold, giving her an edge that I haven't come across before in an FMC. Catalina has become my most favourite FMC, she is amazing... An absolute QUEEN.
    Massimo is a King worthy of his Queen, with the right mixture of hot, possessive, sweet and everything in between. He will leave you swooning, hoping for your very own Massimo and will leave you Salivating (that man is undeniably one of the hottest guys that I've ever read about).
    Together they are fiery passion, and honestly it makes them the hottest and my most favourite couple that I've ever read about. This book will leave you drooling, dreaming and desiring the kind of relationship they have.

    Read it twice now. I keep it in my library as opposed to returning it cos it's such an enjoyable read. Great characters and storyline. Love Mass and Cas! Their characters and their dynamic is just SO good!

    I don't know why I waited so long to read this. It was phenomenal, spell-binding, absolutely stunning! The characters were full of depth and the telling of Catarina's past pulled at the heartstrings. I cried for her, I wanted to tug her close and comfort her to try and ease her suffering. Massimo was a true gentleman when it was warranted, coaxing the truth out of his regina, earning her love so carefully but sweetly when he could. He poured on the suaveness and charm, convincing her that they were perfect together and they would make a power couple to be reckoned with. They burned up the sheets, the shower, the kitchen, and everywhere they happened to be when they touched. Hot Italian lovers to the core. Determination went into their plans that were well thought out, interwoven but separate at the same time. Both mean to head The Commission, finding that they would need each other to meet their goals. A fiery marriage of convenience that becomes so much more.

    I won't be forgetting this book any time soon. Bravissimo to the author for an amazing trip through the underbelly of the criminal world.
