Very Merry Married: Kringle Family Christmas Book 2 Kindle Edition

4.2 out of 5 stars 1,195 ratings

Ethan

I’ve got my hands full.

Running for mayor of my home town in Colorado. Trying to save the family business—and doing my best to survive Christmas without murdering my brother. Nowhere on this list is room for Lexie to show up a year after our epic one-night stand.

Vegas show girl, owner of the meanest dog I’ve ever met, and the star of every fantasy I’ve had since I came home. And apparently… my wife? And she wants me to sign divorce papers.

Hell no.

Lexie

I do not get drunk married. That’s what tourists do in Vegas, not locals. But even I am susceptible to gorgeous eyes and an excellent jaw line.

I was so sure Ethan was different from the jerks I usually fall for, until I woke up married without a groom or a way to get a hold of him. A year later, I finally see him splashed all over the internet—fighting with his brother at a Colorado airport.

So, what’s a showgirl to do? Put on my best heels, put my dog in a hand bag and go find my husband so I can end my sham marriage. But as soon as I arrive in Salt Springs, that plan goes out the window.

Ethan hasn’t forgotten me and the chemistry between us is real and explosive.

Now that I’ve found him he doesn’t want to let me go.

Was our wedding a Vegas mistake? Or a Christmas miracle?

A funny, well done, well written Christmas romance
What a fun and beautiful reading experience, I wish I could go back in time and read this book again for the first time. This book was my first of this genre, I have to admit that even though I am a huge fan of Christmas movies, until now I haven’t read one romance Christmas book, but when I saw this opportunity I knew I have to take it. I’ve read some of Molly O’Keefe’s darker books and have really enjoyed them, so I was looking forward to digging into something a bit more lighthearted, and I was not disappointed. This book has fun festive vibes, is a fast-paced read, and has the right balance of steam, romance, funny moments and angst. It was such a great book, the plot and the writing so good, it was like stepping into a Hallmark Christmas movie. I enjoyed the characters, and the constant banter between them that it was so funny. This story is a fun accidental marriage trope, only these two take their sweet time until they discover one another. Lexie is smart, capable, resourceful, and so brave. She is in all ways a survivor, no matter what happens, she always finds the strength in her to lend on her two feet. She is not afraid to speak her mind,. She is constantly changing, finding out what she is capable of, finding out how powerful and strong she is. I loved how sassy she is with Ethan, and how she constantly challenged him. I loved that she really owned who she was as a person, she wasn’t afraid to fight for what she wanted, to fight for her happiness. Ethan is a very intriguing character. He is tall, dark and mysterious, has something special about him that could make everyone loose their minds when they are in his surroundings. He is charming and confident, handsome and very attractive. He is calculated, always on top of every situation and has his life all planed out. All of this until he meets Lexi and she turns his world upside down. “The Kringle Family Christmas” is a series by a multi-author collaboration, but each book can be read as a standalone, and because I enjoyed this book so much, now I want to check out the other brothers. I have a feeling that I am in for a treat.

Love, love, love book 2! It filled in some of the pieces from book 1 but kept you at the edge of your seat wanting more!!! Can’t wait to see what book 3 has in store!!!

The Kringle family own a B&B and Xmas tree farm outside Denver. Not enough to do? The lead male is also in city politics and now running for mayor. Nobody else in family wants the job of the B&B/Farm. A year ago he had a 1 nite stand in Vegas … left his number… no contact. Vegas dancer shows up. This is their holiday story. It is quite funny and enjoyable. It is poignant for the impact of the way we are raised. It has a very nice HEA.

Overall cute. The ending was a bit rushed, which cost it in the rating, but overall the book was cute and worth it for a quick read. Ethan is a rather charming character and it was nice seeing his romance story in the series.

The hang ups of the characters in the book did feel a bit odd. Mostly, how far Ethan has gone to keep his “good boy” persona in place. Clearly, that wasn’t making him completely happy, as can be seen once Lexie comes back into his life. So, the efforts he went to hold onto it felt odd given his acknowledgement that the lack of control with Lexie was something he enjoyed.

The book is short, though, and took a day to read. So, commitment level is short and a seasonal romance is always comforting.

Also the spice is good, so that’s always a bonus 🌶

I loved the way Ethan and Lexie found each other in Vegas. The whole story was great.

The editing in this book is terrible and if I hadn’t gotten caught up in the story, I would have DNF. Just beware of this when you start reading.

This is an adorable Christmas read. Lexie and Ethan have an instant connection, so much so that they have a quickie Vegas wedding. And then he leaves.

Fast forward one year, and they once again cross paths. Lexie is so cute as the out of place Vegas girl in a small town, Christmas village. But she makes it work. She has such an open and loving spirit, despite being raised by a mother who is bitter about life.

This is an example of how opposites attract, and how to accept people as they are. They actually make a great couple, and I hope he one day finds himself the mayor of the town.

I need to read more Molly O'Keefe books. I don't know how it happened but in the first chapters, Ethan was really good and I didn't think I would like Lexie but when I got to her chapters...I fell for her🥹💞
    .
Lexie was so beautiful, so good and owned my heart from the first line. It was a truly Elle Woods from las Vegas and Ethan didn't know what to do with her

I really enjoyed this book, every paragraph and quote. Just Beautiful. I need to read her backlist

I seriously enjoyed the heck out of this book! You would think that Ethan would have been more than okay with signing off on the divorce, but theirs was a once-in-a-lifetime connection, and I loved that he was going with his gut (and his heart, of course!). I also appreciated the fact that he was the only one among the siblings who stayed in their hometown. He was someone who was focused and organized, and all it took was a trip to Vegas to change his life, albeit he only experienced the effects of it a year later, which I found to be a creative take on the whole Vegas wedding angle. And then there's Lexie who absolutely adored. She was sassy and independent and spoiled her furbaby, Baby Girl, to bits. She was exactly who Ethan and his family needed, and I had a huge smile on my face by the end of this book. Very Merry Married easily gets 4.5 stars out of five stars.

Ethan, who got drunkenly married in Vegas a year ago and doesn't remember it AT ALL, is the next Kringle to fall and...maybe he was the first, actually. He just didn't know he was the first thanks to tequila.

Anywho. Thanks to Ethan throwing fists at his famous brother at the airport, Lexie is finally able to track her wayward husband down (there was A LOT of tequila, okay, and names sort of got lost in that tequila haze) so she could serve him divorce papers. Imagine his surprise when he finds out he's married. Now imagine Lexie's surprise when she realizes he isn't the inconsiderate jerk she's spent the last year thinking he was.

Now imagine that Lexie's personality is a perfect fit for the Kringle Inn and she has a quick mind and a lot of ideas and Ethan's kind of smitten with her even before he remembers everything that happened that fateful night in Vegas.

A pageant, some gossip, a sassy pup, a man who wants to figure out how well he fits with his new lady, and a lady who has never forgotten the man who rocked her world last Christmas. *thumbs up*
