Widow: A Reverse Harem Romance Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 890 ratings

My world changed forever the night a spider bit me.

I didn't turn into some kind of superhero— I turned into a huntress that preyed on men.

I almost gave myself over to the demon that lurked inside me.

Until I met three men willing to fight for me.

Lucifer, the devil who had more baggage than LAX.

Alaric, a quirky alpha wolf shifter with a pocket-sized monkey.

Kai, a fallen angel bar owner with a mermaid obsession.

Will they help me fight the darkness that lurks inside me, or will they let it consume me?

Widow is a medium burn reverse harem, standalone novel with light MM touching, mature language. It is a spinoff of my Celestial Academy series, but can be read as a standalone.

This was a love at first sight for me, with one of the most beautiful covers, and thanks to the cover I've discovered a great book and a great author. The story is as beautiful as the cover and it has the same creepy factor. There is no cliffhanger but if you have problems with spiders, this is not a book for you because wow, creepy.
The author did an amazing job building the atmosphere loaded with spiders in the backgrounds and at times in the forefront of the story. Her writing is impeccable, as well as her ability to convey emotions. And this book is all about creepy spiders and tons of emotions, some new, some old and unresolved, but mostly, it's about love and new beginnings.
The world is incredibly interesting and well developed and although this is a spinoff from her previous series, I don't feel like I have been missing out because I haven't read it yet. But I am definitely going to read it now that I know how great this author is in spinning a story.
The characters are well developed and multilayered. Not all of them are instantly lovable but they try their best, and eventually, they all get under your skin. Lia is a doctor who ends up hosting spiders after an unfortunate incident, and she is trying her best to live with everything that goes against her nature. The guys are mostly wonderful and quite patient. Their chemistry is off the charts and there are some hot and steamy scenes to make you sweat.
This was a great story I devoured in one go and I loved it. I loved everything about it and I can't wait to dive into the other works of this author. She is awesome!

So don’t get me wrong. I LOVED the idea of this story and all the characters and everything. It did seem like the story was pretty cliché and seemed to solve all the problems super quickly without much struggle. Plus there wasn’t much romance between the characters and don’t get me wrong I love a good enemy to lovers but this wasn’t it. They’re wasn’t that redemption or anything between the dudes she said she hated and when they finally had sex. I really feel like this book could’ve been super amazing had the book slowed down the tiniest amount and put some work into the romantic aspects of it. Plus I really feel like when she died and went to heaven it either should’ve been added onto more in depth or it should’ve been left out. Like it was to brief and left us wanting more info

I am absolutely obsessed with this world of angels, demons and fallen! First I read Celestial Academy series in which I was already obsessed with Lucifer through his fatherly tendencies, then fell even more for him with his protectiveness of Lia and sexiness and steaminess! Although what is it with these women dying and becoming angels in sacrifice for their men and or the world!? Seems a reoccurring theme! I love that I read the bonus scene from the other series first because it didn’t give anything away other than that Ric is the only one that could be the father of it. Although how it’s possible is a bit confusing, but such is life in a book!

I enjoyed the characters and the story lines of this story. I would definitely recommend that it is to be read along with the other books in the series.

This was a great read and my first from Maya Nicole. I liked the characters and the fast pace that comes with a good standalone. The Widow possession was something new I hadn't read before, and I liked that it was actually uncommon for a human to be possessed. Without giving away any spoilers, I will say that I thought the ending was going to be different than it was, but was still good. I'll be moving on to the Celestial Academy trilogy next, as that is about Lucifers daughter and I am intrigued to read her story.

While you don't have to read the Celestial Academy trilogy that takes place before this one, that is also a great series and this book spoils a lot of it. I liked Lucifer in the prior series and was very excited for him to get his happily ever after. Alaric had not impressed me, however, there is a good explanation for his actions in that other trilogy - that you don't get until near the end of this book.

I really enjoyed this stand alone story. Camillia was a lovely caring MC who was dealt a tough hand. With the help of her 3 sexy sexy men she becomes who she was meant to be. I always read series so this was a nice book, with a resolution. This is my first book from this author and now I am going to read all of her books!

I liked the celestial academy series but this one I can‘t recommend. The devil is a whimp, generally it’s hard to connect with the characters and the story is missing some essential scenes....

If you’ve read Celestial Academy, then you were already in love with Lucifer so this book will make you do a happy dance!

Widow was pretty great. I put it off for a LONG TIME because I’m terrified of spiders, but I’m so glad I finally read it.
Having Lucifer find his HEA with his mates warms my heart to now end.

Follow Lia as her and her men try to find a way to save her from what she’s become. It’s a bumpy ride, but oh so good!

This book was well written and had a great storyline. The only flaw would me the feeling of needing to read the celestial academy books. But despite that the story does stand well on its own.
