Wolf's Betrayal: The Blackridge Peak Series (Book 2) Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 496 ratings

Sent back to the human world by my brother and the shaman, I found refuge among humans, reconnecting with an old friend who urged me to embrace the life I left behind. Yet, my shelter was short-lived when the alpha, Cannon, captured me once more.

In his pack, I witnessed the stark differences between the pack I came from and the Blackridge Peak Pack. I longed to belong to a community as free as this—all the while resisting the magnetic pull towards the alpha.

Meanwhile, someone who was once close to me could hold the key to unlocking the mysteries of humans hunting shifters. While some truths remained hidden, I feared the answers lay within the heart of my old pack.

As external pressures intensified, threatening to shatter the delicate trust building between Cannon and me, I came to realize that it’s not our bond we should have been resisting.

It’s betrayal.

Content information: Wolf’s Betrayal is a paranormal romance, and is the second book in The Blackridge Peak series. Recommended reading age is 18+ due to sexual content, mature language, violence, and some mature themes. This is Book 2 in a continuing series and ends on a cliffhanger.

Eve L. Mitchell is a USA Today Bestselling author who writes Contemporary Romance, and New Adult Romance but also dabbles in Paranormal Romance.

If you like a morally grey alpha-hole, then chances are Eve's got a male character for you to claim as your next book boyfriend.

As an avid reader from a young age, Eve still considers herself a reader first. She believes there is nothing better than getting that new book either on your e-reader or in your hands, and the fact she may bring that excitement to a fellow reader fills her with wonder. She writes under a pen name; otherwise, her Secret Agent status will be revoked.

Eve lives in the North East of Scotland, with her three coffee machines and her significant other, Mr. M. She enjoys NFL Football, music (played loudly), and having long conversations with the voices in her head, which sometimes turn into the stories she writes.

This is a very bad cliffhanger and I am almost in tears. Will be going to book 3 soon and I know it will be a worthy read. I really am enjoying your work and looking forward to the next book

Ends on a cliffhanger that has us rooting for Kezia and Cannon.
Kezia has choices to make and begins to accept that Cannon isn’t the overbearing Alpha she thought at first. Some secrets are revealed and more questions go unanswered.

Great read and keeps you on your toes. Patiently waiting for the next chapter. Loved the characters and the plot thickens.

We are back into the action as Kezia heads back to hiding and making her way with the humans. I love her grit and continued push to rely on no one but herself.

Cannon hunts down Kezia and takes her back to his pack. Kezia has a chance to finally see how a real pack works while also fighting for her independence.

The heat between Cannon and Kezia definitely ignites and Mitchell does not leave us disappointed as these two work out their frustrations and undeniable chemistry.

There are so many twists and turns that Mitchell serves us that left me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out all the answers. Once again Mitchell keeps me turning the pages even when the book is over looking for more.

I love the feisty Kezia, and her feisty Alpa fated mate. Lots of suspense from book to book & I’m hooked. Love wolf shifters, and their fated mates. Lots of action,to say Kezia & Connor love violence is an understatement. Heading to Book 3

I am going to start this off by saying Thank Luna the next book is coming out next month!!!!! Because I need more!!!! This series has sucked me in and now has my complete attention! I just know I am going to struggle reading any shifter book until I get the next one.
Kezia and Cannon are so infuriating with each other and the stress I feel when they interact is off the charts!!!! So much happened in book one and now we see how some of that turns out and get a look into the past. The things that are revealed and questions that come up because of it makes this series very intriguing. There is romance and it’s fire. But I am left wondering if after everything they will get their happy ending. Luna I hope so!!!!!

This continuation of Kezia and Cannon’s story is full of surprises. There were several twists that I didn’t not expect-and it’s hard to catch me off guard. The fantastic character development continues. I cannot wait for the next in series as this book does end on quite the cliff hanger. Don’t start this book if you have plans because you will not be able to stop turning the pages. Highly recommend this series if you love a kick butt FMC and unpredictable enemies to lovers spice.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Wolf’s Betrayal by Eve L. Mitchell is the second book in The Blackridge Peak Series which is a paranormal shifter romance.

The story progresses through so many emotions. Gosh there were moments when I was so in Kezia’s head that her raw emotions just hit me hard and I was crying. I love those moments, as it shows the authors written an emotional connection between the characters and the reader. Unfortunately for me, those tears stayed close to the surface for a long time. I just wanted to protect and hug Kezia. Even though she’s a badass, she still has an innocence that needs protecting.

The characters like Royce were the ones I found she needed the most. A protector. A friend. A saviour. But most of all they enhanced the story and in a way that secondary characters creep in and you want their story as well.

The friendship and weird comrady Kezia and Vance built over time comes across with their teasing and banter.

And then there’s the alpha a55hole. The guy Kezia can’t get out of her head, even with time and distance between them she just can’t forget. This man, this wolf, he was all consuming in this story. Cannon is simply, unforgettable.

And now let’s get to back to the overall story. The twists, betrayal and revelations kept me on the edge on my seat and I read Wolf’s Betrayal in one sitting.

I can’t wait for the third book in this series and I’m prepared to expect the unexpected.

These books have had me in a chokehold from start to finish. Cannon found Kezia and locked her in for her own safety as well as for his pack. However with her heat, their being mates and her past, things are more complicated with emotional chaos and mysteries. With every new information they gleam, a new question pops up. Slowly Kezia and Cannon are finding common ground and accepting the bond or trying. But with the current threat and betrayal that might be too fragile to withstand. The cliffhanger actually hurt even though I knew something was coming.

You sometimes you find this really great book, you hope that book 2 will be just as good if not better, well this is one of those times. The first one was great, but number two was better, I'm hoping that number three will keep this going and I have to say I'm really hoping for happy ever after for this one.

How could you end it there. 5 weeks seems like an age to wait for the final book. Apart from that what an amazing book 2. More questions need to be answered. You, evil genius author will be the death of me! Cliffhanger hung
