    Friends to lovers fans will love this! Single mom Shaye just trying to do right and avoid the mistakes her mom made. Boone is the steady rock for both Shaye and cute little Lennox. Only problem is…he is the brother of Shaye’s ex. When it’s meant -to-be it’s meant to be. Two thumbs up!

    This book is so complicated.

    Shaye has a surprise for her boyfriend Dex, but when she gets home he is not there. It isn't until later that the she is the one in for a surprise.
    She calls the only person she knows that can help her, Dex's brother Boone. Boone is right there through it all. When Dex shows up to claim his girlfriend she sends him packing.

    When her daughter is born Boone is right there to help with his niece, bit his relationship with other women is stale and lacking something.

    Shaye has begun dating again and found that her relationships are lacking as well, it is not until she starts dating Cole that Boone realizes his problem and hers

    We are left with that up in the air

    Reading this and getting to the "end" is frustrating. It leaves you wondering what happens next. Such a great book that I just need to know what happens to the characters. The author did an amazing job.

    Broken hearted and pregnant Shaye moves back home to the loving arms of her family, and closest friend Boone, who also happens to be her ex-boyfriend's older brother. What has been a friendship slowly turns into more with some complications, doubts and fears in their way, but despite of it all will they find their way to each other in the end?

    Shaye is kind and sweet but also knows how to hold her ground. She is the most loving mom to her now 4-year-old daughter, Lennox, who is adorable might I add. Boone is the protective type and very loving. Ever since the birth of Lennox, he has been there for them both, would always protect them and cares for Lennox like she's his own. The relationship between them is so precious and their moments together are the absolute cutest. I can't help but swoon over a guy who is good with kids!

    Boone wants to do the right thing by them and doesn't want to mess up the dynamic they have; being friends with Shaye and an uncle to Lennox. I actually love him for it as he truly thinks about it all and doesn't just jump into it as they both have things to figure out first. So it's definitely a light slow burn.

    One thing I hoped we got more of was moments with Boone and Shaye together. I wanted to see a little more of them having this slight tension as there's clearly something more brewing between them. They mostly do their own thing with other people throughout the whole book and have only these little sweet moments together. But at the same time I think it's important to focus on them as individuals and showing them finding their own way; loved seeing it. Both are still figuring things out and I love how they don't rush into things before they're both ready.

    I love the family and friend dynamics so much and how they are always there for Shaye when she is doubting herself as a mother. They're always supporting her in every way and showing her that it's okay to take time to herself from time to time. Also, the tiny drop of intensity closer on the end added to the mix is just everything and I love how it kind of makes both Shaye and Boone to truly think about their undeniable feelings towards each other. I think the ending is very sweet and it was the perfect way to wrap things up but also leave you wondering what happens next for the them!

    Just Friends is sweet, touching and heartwarming!

    An angst filled story with heartbreak and betrayal. I felt her emotions as the story played out. I was surprised by who she chose to help her but after reading their scenes together, it was easy to feel their connection and chemistry. I was very surprised by how long it took them to recognize their feelings.

    This is the 1st book in a duet and what an amazing beginning this story is. Shaye just find out when she is pregnant that her boyfriend is cheating, and having given up so much for Dex, she is determined to go it alone. Boone is Dex’s older brother, and he will do anything to be there when Shaye and Lennox need him. There is a strong connection and chemistry between these two but neither have made a move are reticent to act on their feeling because of the past. Will these two realise that they are destined to be soulmates? This is a well written tale which is a slow burn and is a sweet friends’ story. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I recommend.

    I enjoyed this story, the plot was written well, it was filled with many emotions. Boone and Shaye's journey had some bumps but these two were meant for each other, the connection they had was strong. I'm looking forward to reading more.

    On the day Shaye finds out she is pregnant she wakes up to find her rock star boyfriend having unprotected sex in their living room. Shaye leaves Dex immediately and flies straight home. Shaye reaches out to Dex's brother Boone to give her a ride home. Boone drops everything and picks her up from the airport. Dex departs Shaye's life after finding out she is having his child. Boone steps up for Shaye and is there for her and her daughter no matter what. Boone falls for Shaye but it feels weird for him even though Dex has not been in the picture at all for the last five years. Sometimes you juts have to let the past go and grab onto your future.
