4.2 out of 5 stars 25 ratings

She can’t have a forever love. So, great sex it is. For him, it’s so much more.
Emily Rutherford has it all in her new home, except for a family of her own. So, she’ll exchange love for great sex as soon as she finds the perfect tutor. Her expertise needs work. Unfortunately, the rugged tulip farmer with ice blue eyes and killer dimples isn’t applying for the job.

Finn Bakker is done having one-night stands with tech-wealthy tourists on this picturesque island north of Seattle. Unfortunately, he literally runs into the perfect one with the most kissable two lips
after he makes the vow. Friends it is, even if it kills him.

With their shared passion for mountain biking, Finn agrees to help with her riding skills, but Emily wants his help with, ahem, other skills too.

Training for an upcoming race, their attraction mounts to a cliff’s edge where they can either stay the course or take the jump. If Emily jumps, it can’t be forever because she won’t take away his chance for the future he imagines. If Finn jumps, it better be forever because his battered heart won’t recover.

Author’s Note: A friends to lovers, he falls first, mountain biker romance containing a sweet and determined heroine, a rugged farmer who likes pillow talk, and 5+ sexy scenes with no cliffhangers and a guaranteed Happily Ever After. It’s about family, responsibilities, and being true to the one thing that makes us whole, love.

Christina Braver writes steamy, small-town, contemporary romance set in the Pacific Northwest. Her stories are about strong heroes with softer sides, independent heroines with a bit of sass, and the guaranteed happily-ever-after we all need.

She has a master’s in clinical psychology and uses that knowledge to create well rounded character driven stories described as “a little bit nerdy and a little bit dirty.” Influenced by books and information from prominent sex therapists, her books bring toe curling spice and real-life sexy tips, as well as address deeper issues such as women’s sexual health and sex positivity for all.

When she isn’t writing, Christina can be found laughing too loudly with friends, sipping wine, or reading. She lives outside Seattle with her husband who shares his bourbon, and two teenagers who don’t tell their friends what Mom writes.

I really enjoyed reading the story of Emily and Finn. I have never read a story that captured such a challenging topic without downplaying real emotions and feelings, yet making room for the healing power of love. Thank you Christina for capturing these different experiences of grief, spotlighting different forms of therapy, and sharing unconditional love. I love the play on words two lips/tulips. I recently met Christina at a romance book show, and she shared bits and pieces about this story and her writing process. I’m a small town girl so when she shared that she mostly writes small town stories, I was hooked. I’m so happy I found this read. I’m excited to finish the catalog.

Much more than just a steamy romance, the characters are substantial and likeable. All the surrounding action is grounded in life. I’m so glad this is book 1 of a series with more to come of everything.

I can honestly say I have never read a mountain biking contemporary romance, until now! This is a steamy read and the MC has some issues due to a medical condition that is well researched for this book. Loved the Pacific Northwest setting and the interesting characters.

Christina Braver's You Two Lips is a wonderful read! Finn & Emily’s chemistry is off the charts & their emotional backstories will have you rooting for their HEA. Add in a fun secondary cast of characters and you’ll be reading well into the wee hours of the morning! Can’t wait to read the rest of the Perry Harbor books!

    4 Stars from Tiffany!

Perry Harbor seems like it is going to be an interesting island. In this first book of the series, we are introduced to Finn and Emily. Each with their own set of personal problems and a gaggle of friends and family to help them figure things out.

Finn is a resident of the island, as are his parents. He has two siblings a phone call away and mountain biking friends galore to keep him busy. Emily is looking for a fresh start. She’s a strong, capable woman ready to take on the world with a new light. She dabbles in mountain biking, so it’s no surprise she meets Finn.

I liked both characters instantly. Finn was a smidge annoying with his constant judgment of Emily and her with the past she’d like to keep in the past, however they moved along at a great pace for me. No insta-love, more like let's get to know one another then throw a wrench in the relationship. The story is written around a bike race, so it was a perfect way for these two crazy kids to get to know one another. Finn was so stubborn, however it was obvious he wasn’t going to hold out long.

The book is well written and sets the series up nicely. There are secrets and that’s where the angst comes in. Not too light, not too heavy, it was the perfect amount for a storyline such as this. While we are getting to know Finn and Emily, we are also involved with Finn’s brother and sister, as well as his friends. Not to mention Emily’s friends and family and they all seem to have a story in them. Finn’s brother Lucas is up next and you can count me in for that. The book reads as a nice introduction to the series and hopefully we’ll keep tabs on Finn and Emily as it moves along.

This is the first in a new series, and this is Finn and Emily’s journey. Finn is a rugged farmer who has had his fair share on 1-night stands, while Emily is looking for a fresh start. Neither character has had any luck with relationships in the past, and Finn is ready to settle down and find love, while Emily is craving love and a family. When these two teams up for a benefit mountain bike race, the chemistry between them is undeniable. This is a well written story which has family, friendships, intrigue, passion, emotions, and love, which leads to a compelling page turner.
I received an advance review copy, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Your Two Lips is the debut novel from Christina Braver and folks are sure to fall in love with Emily and Finn!

Our two main characters meet and despite being crazy attached to one another, they share some initial misconceptions brought on by difficult pasts. They have to work for it a bit but eventually find themselves ensnared by cupid and sexy times! I liked all the characters and enjoyed seeing Finn and Emily grow together. The things Emily went through are super tough for women and I really appreciated the author's sensitivity to it. The beautiful Pacific Northwest was like an extra character and it's clear the author loves it fiercely. She's got me dying to go!

Well done! A great read and a great first story!
