4.0 out of 5 stars 30 ratings

When this carefree mortal falls head-over-heels for an otherworldly being, will foul corruption stop him from sealing things with a kiss?

Jace Osmond is sexy, confident, and brash. So, when the hunky band member wakes up to find his room full of faeries, he’s happy to listen to the beautiful creatures’ contractual offer. Agreeing to sleep with them and swap his sensual dreams for gold, this is one trip to faerieland that’s all upside.

Shocked to meet a faerie who makes him forget every other pretty face, Jace’s interest in the colorful coterie fades as he tries to woo the impossibly out-of-reach woman. But his passionate pursuit of the ethereal woman gets complicated when he’s claimed by the queen of the realm for use as her personal plaything.

Can he break free of an enchanted prison and win his way to his love’s side?

Kameryu Dreamer is a spicy romantic fantasy. If you like saucy characters, edge-of-your-seat tension, and dark steamy action, then you’ll adore Matt Mememaro’s out-of-this-world encounter.

More like 4.5 stars, but I rounded up! I'm rarely surprised by twists in a story, but this was as shocking in certain things as GoT!

Kameryu Dreamer is definitely spicy! It starts out following our fairies the Collectors, as they go about their lives collecting dreams from humans and selling them to other fairies. There is one extremely popular human, Jace, who's vivid dreams and memories make his standout more than all the others.

Jace is living his best life playing in a band and finding different girls to go home with every weekend. Until a group of fairies show up and make him an offer he can't refuse. What follows is a binding to a contract, and his going to Kameryu (in Fairy) with the Collectors as per the Fairy Queen's orders.

Let's be honest, Jace is shallow. He reminds me of a lot of my guy friends when I was younger, both from bands and who were DJs, whose lives revolved around what they did and the hottest girl they can find every night. He's confident, yet still happy to accept "enhancements" from the fairies.

The majority of this book is spice. We follow Jace through his escapades with the Collectors. Did I mention there are five of them? His eventual run in with the queen goes as expected. Then there's the lovely handmaiden of the queen who piques his interest from day one. There are also some shady happenings around Kameryu, and the enigmatic Sorch, the Queen's elvish assassin/bodyguard.

For those who don't like violence, though it's in a small percentage of the book, it is extreme, so fair warning. Seriously, don't mess with Sorch.

This book is not your typical fantasy romance, but I think that's what had me enjoying it so much. Plus, the lack of constant female relationship dramas that give me anxiety. Ha!

Now we're set for the next book as we go into the elvish lands, and I cannot wait!

Diving into Kameryu Dreamer felt like plunging headfirst into a swirling fantasy full of faeries, dark intrigue, and sizzling passion. As a longtime SFF enthusiast, I was instantly captivated by the novel’s bold premise: the notion of trading dreams for gold adds a fresh spin to the typical faerie trope. Jace Osmond, our roguish musician hero, embodies carefree charm with a hint of devil-may-care attitude, making his escapades both thrilling and entertaining.
The world-building strikes a curious balance between mesmerizing and mischievous—faeries with secret agendas, a power-hungry queen, and a realm teetering on the edge of chaos. The story layers adult themes generously, which won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, yet adds a sultry edge perfect for readers in search of a “spicy” fantasy.
Beneath the steamy scenes lie deeper issues of trust, loyalty, and the price of unchecked authority. The twisting plot kept me on my toes, particularly when forbidden romances and looming threats collide. Kameryu Dreamer is a tantalizing invitation to dream bigger, love harder, and chase magic—even when it’s darkly seductive. If you’re craving an imaginative romp through faerie realms tinged with danger and delight, this novel more than delivers!

    4.5 stars for me!
This was a good read! Original plot line, fast pacing, witty characters, steamy smut scenes, and some interesting drama all wrapped in a pretty little package. Kameryu Dreamer is a story about a human who has very vivid dreams. Steamy dreams. Five fairies called the Collectors take these dreams, siphon them from his consciousness and make a living selling them to other fae. Jace is kidnapped by the rotten to the core Queen Adorabelle, who abuses her power, abuses her kingdom and doesn’t warn them of impending danger. Jace falls in love with her handmaiden, Loxy, and when demons threaten the world they exist in, and the queens terror strikes, together they have to fight to stay the course to be with one another. It ends with a huge twist one can’t see coming, and some heart break in a way you don’t expect. Overall the plot is pretty good, sometimes too detailed in areas that don’t seem to need to be, others needing more detail and not having it, and there is more smut in places than I think it belongs. Almost like filler. I greatly enjoyed the book, and would recommend it, but only if you can handle high 🌶️, twists, and cliffhangers. It really grabbed me and I look forward to reading other material from this author. Thank you to Matt for writing!

The book was not well written. Unable to connect to characters emotions. The description of sexual interactions are void of depth.

Unique blend of fantasy, romance, and adventure with a generous dose of spice. The story follows Jace Osmond, a confident and carefree musician whose life takes a sharp turn when he is swept into the magical realm of faeries. What begins as a playful exchange of dreams for gold evolves into a tangled web of romance, danger, and supernatural intrigue. The author has created a vivid fantasy world where faerie politics and personal desires collide. The imaginative concept of "dream commerce" adds an intriguing twist to the plot. Jace’s journey, marked by steamy encounters and dark challenges, keeps you engaged with its fast pacing and unexpected turns. The book's sensual content might not appeal to everyone, but it suits fans of spicy fantasy romances. The world-building and character dynamics shine, though some moments feel overly focused on intimate scenes. Overall, for readers who enjoy bold stories that mix romance, action, and fantasy, this book is a great choice.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Sinfully Sensational Blend of Desire and Fantasy!
Reviewed in Australia on February 3, 2024
If you’re a fan of spicy romance and fantasy, then this book is an absolute must-read. It truly delivers on its promise, perfectly blending smutty romance and fantasy elements. Matt’s attention to detail in creating the world and developing the characters is truly phenomenal. The vivid descriptions and intricate lore provide a captivating backdrop for the story. The characters, especially Sorch and the Collectors, will ignite a fire within your soul. From sex dream-stealing faeries to the god of all sex dreams, Jace Osmond himself, Kameryu Dreamer fearlessly explores desire and pleasure with audacity and unapologetic sensuality. And let’s not forget the unforgettable faerie orgies and the unhinged faerie queen who wants Jace all to herself. The book culminates in an epic battle that will leave you breathless.

I love a good romance, and I'm partial to a bit of spice. This, however, was my first venture into the fantasy romance genre.
The world building was imaginative and impressive. The author does a good job of building the relationships between the characters as well as the storyline. It does end on a cliffhanger, which was satisfying. Overall, an original and imaginative idea that provided an entertaining read. Plenty of 'spice' too. I look forward to more.

This is a unique story and one I enjoyed. There is a colony of fairy collectors - they collect human dreams and sell them. They are particularly drawn to one human's dreams called, Jace. His dreams are exciting and enticing making him very popular with the fairies. The story is full of twists and turns (no spoilers)
This is a very well written novel and a great evolving story.
