Where has she been?

A gray-haired man and a woman dancing

When he wasn't looking, she appeared

Silas met the woman he thought would be 'the one' at Woodstock in 1969. They were both 17 and didn't even know each other's true names. 'Dorothy' disappeared after the event, not leaving 'Sherlock' a clue to where she was from or going.

Forty years later, she appears at a wedding, looking much younger than him.

What was her secret?

Were her comments about time travel true or delusional?

Did she get out of the psychiatric hospital too soon?

An action-filled romance with lots of surprises, including a visit from Benji and Jane from The Fairies Saga series!

2.0 out of 5 stars The writing feels choppy
Reviewed in India on November 9, 2022
There's a lot of unsettling things about this book.

Firstly, the writing feels choppy, in the sense that as a reader, I am feeling at a complete loss for the context. If I wait for more details to be provided as I go, I feel too disoriented to feel any thrill intended by the author.

If the book is supposed to be standalone, then it is lacking in that respect. If it meant to be read after completing the previous 4 in the series, then that should have been made clear *and* the author should have promoted the first book instead of the last one in the series, on Fussy Librarian where I got the book from.

Secondly, I discovered that the whole series was available as a boxset on Kindle Unlimited, so I am going to give that a try when I can. If I ever get to the last book, I might edit this current review.

It's just that there are not as many ratings and reviews as you would expect for a USA bestselling author. The fact that the ratings are all way too good, but there aren't actual reviews supporting them makes you question their validity too.

Anyway, I would have read Silas and Julianna's story had it been easy to follow. And then I would have felt intrigued enough to find out about each of the triplets and their mother Grace, to tie all the threads together. Alas!
