Brooklyn Kerr, a Midwesterner since birth, resides in the St. Louis metro area with her husband and son. She is a pet parent to two special needs rescue cats and a big, goofy Golden Retriever.

As a legal aid lawyer, she heard heart-breaking cases every day. But the pandemic changed everything for Brooklyn, and she needed to leave the practice of law to raise her young son. In doing so, she discovered her love of writing.

Due to her passion for being a voice for survivors, she started writing about fictional characters who not just survive a difficult obstacle but overcome their trauma and enjoy their happily ever afters. What began as a hobby has now turned into a full-time career. She has one hockey series complete and a dark romantic suspense series in the works.

Brooklyn’s favorite things are watching and playing sports with her boys, cat snuggles, rubbing a needy dog belly, reading, gardening, cooking, baking, giving avid support to her fellow authors, and hearing from her readers.

Katy and Apollo have truly persevered through the horrors of what their life has been with Katy's abusive ex, and they've found a home in Taylor Ridge. I absolutely adore Katy and Apollo, and Milo is an instant marshmallow for them. Their story is very emotional and full of angst, and I didn't want to put their story down. I can't wait to see what's next for Taylor Ridge!

    A good angst story, enjoyed it. Katy and Apollo have gone through so much in their life, when Milo enters their life. They are plagued with hurdles which causes a lot of back and forth in their relationship. Good story about life trials, love, family and friends.

    Okay.. I was nervous for Katy’s story, I knew she had a bad past but my lord this was ALOT! From everything with Apollo’s dad, the abuse, her parents passing.. dodgy cops and some sick g-parents who were soul-less.. like man this poor girl has been though it all, to hell and back even! and then we meet milo.. this adorable goalie.. he’s not only fallen hard and fast.. and so he should Katy and Apollo are amazing, he is reserved, determined and so damn selflessly amazing.. he helped Apollo with his speech, gave him new memories and skills to give that little boy the male bond and love he truly deserved and in return they took down the worst of the worst and created a beautiful life together! Honestly this story had me hooked! I couldn’t stop feeling so much! The love, the pain, the anguish and pure rage.. even deep sorrow that ran through me page after page.. so bloody incredible!
