Rekindled (Tis the Season Holiday Collection Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.7 out of 5 stars 491 ratings

After getting married right out of college, Jordan and Spencer Barlowe were sure their love would last a lifetime. Unfortunately, life didn't work out that way and they've spent the last ten years apart. The only connection they have left is their teenage daughter.

When Jordan travels from her current home in Florida back to Pennsylvania so her daughter, Penny, can stay with her mom and Jordan can attend the first indoor track and field meet hosted by her alma mater, she ends up spending a lot more time with her ex-wife than she originally planned.

Is Christmas magic (and some intervening from their teenage daughter) enough to bring Jordan and Spencer back together or is it too late?

This one was definitely a feel-good story! From the beginning, you really feel the love that Jordan and Spencer have for each other, even while trying to play it cool with each other so many years after the divorce. With their vast history, forced proximity, and their sweet meddling daughter - they didn't stand a chance! Nothing too angsty... just great Holiday romance.

I enjoyed the three main characters of Rekindled and their story very much. I’m especially enamored with second chance romances, so it was fun and rewarding to see the likable and sensitive Jordan and Spencer get back together after a devastating divorce and a 10-year estrangement.

Also, The Parent Trap has been one of my favorite movies since I first saw the original with Hayley Mills when I was six. So, it was familiar watching Penny not-so-subtly concoct situations for her parents to be together alone or for all three to enjoy Hallmark-worthy fun family experiences. I would especially like to catch a real version of “The Fa Rawr Rawr Rawr Rawr Christmas Dinosaur Pop-Up” that Jordan and Penny dotingly drag Spencer to see.

The sweet Christmas love story is just right for a holiday escape under a cozy blanket, sipping a cup of Bailey’s and cocoa.

Jordan and Spencer got married right out of college. They adopted Spencer's niece Penny at the age of two when both her parents were killed in a car accident. After a few years, Jordan's mother's Alzheimer's worsened and she made the decision to take care of her in Florida, but Spencer chose to stay in PA so they ultimately divorced. Now ten years later, the three of them are together again to celebrate Christmas.

This story is moving and beautiful and Penny is a very intelligent teenager who wants her parents together. The writing is wonderful and the reader can feel the love between them. It's a great celebration of second chances full of joy and hope!

Jordan and Spencer fell in love young and got married right out of college. They adopted their niece after her parents were killed in an auto accident when Penny was 2 yrs old. Then Jordan's mother's alzheimers got bad, and she lived in Florida. Jordan had to go down to take care of her, but Spencer's life was in PA. They divorced and Penny went with Jordan to Fl. Though, they really still loved each other. Fast forward 10 years, and its Christmas time. Jordan flies to PA with Penny, so she can spend time with her other mom. Because of a fire in her hotel, Jordan ends up spending her time at Spencers'. Is it possible that their love will reignite? This is an adorable story. 5 stars!!

Two of my favorites put together. Christmas and second chance romance - it doesn't get better than that. Jordan and Spencer are real characters and you can feel their love for each other. I can't wait for the sequel! I really want to know what happens to their daughter Penny.

I'm a big fan of Erica Lee's. I believe I have all her books except the newest one. Like all the others I loved this novella. It was not completely original but it was a premise that you don't see too often and her take on it makes it unique. Two people married young, get divorced, are put in a situation where they are in close quarters with each other and old and unforgotten feelings surface again. I thought that Spencer and Jordan really were made for each other and that they just might have needed time apart to really realize how much they just fit together. Penny was sarcastic and sometimes kinda bratty but I totally loved her and I think it would be great if the author revisited all three of these characters in a full length novel sometime in the future. Hope Miss Lee decides to write another Christmas novel next November or December. Totally what I was looking for in a Christmas book. Definitely recommend. I give it 5 stars.

Not going to lie but Penny was a real brat and a little annoying. I loved the story line. I can feel the love Jordan and Spencer still had for each other.
