    The original meet-cute between Gianni and Olivia is absotively posolutely perfect. And the the fact that they find one another again years later??? Swoon-worthy!

    Unfortunately, though, there is something off about this book as a whole. I don't know it's the tone, the pacing, both, or neither. But it needs a little more work.

    Olivia and Gianni meet as kids and life would have it, a miss connection leaves them both alone and getting through life without each other. But each of them remembers the teen love of their life and no one compares. When Gianni decides to expand into the art world, he just happens to buy the gallery where Olivia has been working. Olivia recognizes him right away, but Olivia does not look the same. Her broken heart has caused her to let herself go and she is more mousy than the vibrant teen she was. Gianni doesn't recognize Olivia but gets glimpses of something familiar about her. One night, with the false courage the on extra drink brings, Olivia lets the cat out of the bag. What follows if a fun dance of romance or not, ending in a beautiful happily ever after. I loved this book full of teen hopes, adult secrets and second chances.

    I'm not the biggest fan of billionaire romances, but I do have a soft corner for the grumpy/sunshine dynamic. So, imagine my excitement when I picked up this book. However, the grumpy/sunshine vibe was a tad underwhelming.

    Our lead lady Olivia is an art gallery employee and tends to worry a lot. At 28, she's given up her artist aspirations. She met Gianni at 18 during a school trip to Florence and fell madly in love. They shared some enchanting days together but he ghosted her on her last day, leaving her heartbroken. Since then, she's lost her spark and become more pragmatic.

    Enter Gianni, our Italian billionaire hero who had dreams of being a football star until a knee injury cut his career short. This also made him miss his final rendezvous with Olivia (or Libby as he called her), something he's regretted since. During his recuperation, he adopted his daughter who is now his world. He decides to buy an art gallery in NYC to sell Italian art as part of growing his family business.

    Gianni buys Olivia's workplace and soon enough, she realizes that her new boss is actually her old beau! It amused me that Olivia saw Gianni as grumpy - he didn't seem all that grumpy to me. He was my favorite character in the book with his daughter being a close second.

    All in all, I liked the book but felt Olivia acted quite childish when she discovered Gianni was her long-lost love. Luckily, she came around and they got their fairy-tale ending!

    This is a sweet clean second chance Rom Com. A humorous Rom-Com. Great characters that you fall in love with. I really liked how the author built up the relationship between the two main characters. I was rooting for their happy ending through the whole book. Detail well plotted storyline that keeps your attention throughout the book. Witty and humorous dialogue that keeps you smiling. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

    This book wasn't for me. It was well written and the characters were well developed ...it just wasn't my cup of tea. Libby meets the man of her dreams on an Italy trip. He stands her up on her last day in Italy. She's crushed and she never lives out her dreams. They cross paths again years later, but because she's so frumpy he doesn't even recognize her-drama ensues! There was a little cussing. This is a standalone with an HEA
