MercyAnn Summers has been writing in one capacity or another for most of her life, but she didn't publish her first novel until she was almost 200 years old. Now that she's gotten used to pantsing her way through a storyline, she feels more confident in her ability to weave a decent plot with adequate humor and a decent amount of spice. She knows she's not funny. It's okay.

She lives in the frigid northeast, and she's not super happy about it.

Rate: 4.75 🌟 ~ So we have Tony MMC who had taken Carolina FMC for revenge. Why? Well let’s just say that Carolina had someone that Tony cared about murdered. After he kidnapped her, things between them started to get really weird, heated, and OMG! You know when they say “oh when he is mean to you it’s because he likes you”… well this is the vibe I got!!! Tony kept telling himself to hate her, that she is the enemy… But does he really??? Carolina now she will surprise you… She grows so much in this book, from being used by her husband to finally getting what she wants. Like I mentioned before, I enjoyed reading this book and getting to know these two main characters…. What a great read for 2024! The action, the plot, it's totally worth it… You won’t regret it!!!!

    If MercyAnn writes it, I will read it. This slow burn with all the family focuses on Tony and Carolina. Tony is more than he appears and Carolina is up for the task. By now you should know the task.. :) There is danger afoot when the challenges of old traitors come back to resolve issues in a way we'd rather not engage.
    Carolina is working her own fafo when new information and old lost things come into play. This book is a delight. It begins with shackles and ends the same way; but this time the happy " I'm gonna put you in a box" kind. Adventure, drama, unalivement and spice. All wrapped up in a bow. Laughing along the way. Well done MercyAnn. 5 happy stars!

    There is just something about this series, and this authors writing, that has me wanting to read more and more by her. I read the books out of order, because I started with book 4, which got me interested in all the other characters who were obviously in books 1 through three.

    this time around, we get Tony and Carolina’s story. As with the previous books, we know that this group of friends have definite specific skill sets, and reputations to go along with them, but we don’t always get the details. I think that’s what keeps me reading . It’s just this mystery that’s not a mystery, but you want to solve it, knowing you never will. I don’t even know if that makes sense.

    Tony and his group of friends do their typical FAAFO which has become a phrase I like to use in real life now.

    If you are looking for something different to read, that has an intriguing storyline, and grips you without you realizing it, then this book, A Fine Line, plus the ones that came before it are probably right up your alley.

    I am heading off to read book 5 since I’ve already read book 4. I need to see what happens with Matt now.

    Tony and Carolines story. I can't say I was excited about Tony. But he grew on me and now I think I like him. I love Caroline. Can't beat the original couple but these two really add to the team dynamic. The whole box thing is very odd, but they do them. 😆

    I agree that if Mercy puts it out I will read. I have enjoyed all of these.

    I found out about this book without having read the previous two in series so I went back and read those first. I am so glad I did because it made the anticipation of this book so much better. The whole series was amazing and kept you guessing with each twist. But this book was by far my favorite of the three. I loved the progression of Tony and Carolina’s characters as well as the action mixed in with spice. All main characters are likable and have such great chemistry. This book has it all: humor, action and romance. Highly recommend and looking forward to read more by this author.

    Tony! What a mean, grumpy, TEDDY BEAR. He hides it so well. He has a soft spot he doesn't want people to see. His interactions with Flora, melt your heart.

    Carolina, man she had it rough and she still could see the good in people. Even if she was still wary of them.

    Be on the ride of your life with this one. Drama, suspense, what the heck, and spice, with the HEA.

    I was not prepared for Tony’s book. The way I fell in love with his character immediately 🥵 Tony was intense and protective and everything I needed and more for his story.     A Fine Line, I devoured this book within 48hours and it was only that long due to having to work. Wowwwww the Turns and the twists, the spice, character development and the return of faves such as Darius and Toni with the introduction of Declan!! Oooo I loved every minute of it, if you’re prone to getting lost, Mercy Ann is your girl because the moment I feel like I don’t know what’s going on she references it out for you and you never miss what happens. I did not want this to end at all. The Epilogue was amazing as well, I was blushing so hard, do men like this exist? Where can I find one. By Far the BEST books I have read in a long time. The story doesn’t just fall around the smut, it has character and is beyond good, if you are looking for a crime/Mafia/ underground read that hits with page this is for you!!!!

    This book is connected to the world we were introduced and thrown into with the Ends World Duet.  It is a standalone, but I think people would enjoy this read so much more if they started with Ends of Being because the relationships are so interconnected and complex.  I do also think that if you start at this book, you will still love it and it will have you circling back to the Ends of Being.

    This book is just as fast-paced and gripping as the previous books.  I love how involved the previous characters we met continue to be and that we continued to get to see where they are at through the eyes of Tony and Carolina.  This is a dark, hot read, so please check the trigger warnings. You may also want to set aside a chunk of time because I read this book in one sitting - that’s how good it is! This isn’t a small book, but I could not put it down!  There is action, heat, darkness, and humour.  You will start on a rollercoaster ride that you just can get off of.  I am now counting down the days to the release of Declan because I need more!

    This book. Oh my gosh. I’m not even sure where to start. I loved the chemistry between Tony and Carolina. Watching Tony struggle with his feelings for her was entertaining and his relationship with Flora made my heart melt. Then, the twists. The turns. The jaw-dropping revelations! They just kept coming and at moments I just had to take a moment to process. I very much enjoyed this read and I can’t wait to see what else is in store for this rag-tag bunch!

    I fell in love with Tony in the first book of the series, but this book made me love him even more.

    He struggles with his feelings quite badly in this story and you never truly knew if he hated Carolina or loved her. But I guess they do say there’s a ‘fine line’ between love and hate for a reason.

    Carolina has had an awful life and has not known much kindness or love. Tony shows her that there are different ways of loving someone.

    I loved the storyline for this book. A lot of drama and trauma.
    Was so happy to have an unhinged Antoinette trying to help Carolina.

    Bit gutted that their foursome party got interrupted lol. I wanted to see just how far Dare and Tony would go for their women.

    A great world that Mercyann has created and looking forward to reading about Declan!
