From the bestselling historical saga author of The Orphan in the Peacock Shawl.

Previously published under the title Where Rainbows End
‘I’m not a man, but that won’t stop me. Just you wait and see.’
It’s 1850 and the Noble family have arrived in Australia to start a new life after scandal drove them from their native England. Headstrong Pippa Noble is determined to reclaim their honour by making her father’s plans for a successful stud farm a reality.
Pippa is immediately spellbound by the untamed outback landscape, although she learns the hard way about the unforgiving nature of the bush – sometimes with devastating consequences. When circumstance leads to Pippa tending the new farm alone, it is the steadfast friendship of neighbouring country estate owner Gil Ashford-Smith that helps her through.
Then an unexpected visitor from England arrives, putting Pippa’s dreams in jeopardy. But she refuses to let go. She will hold onto her family’s land and make her mark, even if it means losing everything else…

"Poignant, powerful and searingly emotional, AnneMarie Brear stands shoulder to shoulder with the finest works by some of the genre’s greatest writers such as Catherine Cookson, Audrey Howard and Rosamunde Pilcher." Amazon reviewer.

An award winning and Amazon UK best seller, Australian born AnneMarie Brear writes historical novels and modern romances and sometimes the odd short story, too. She has a love of old country houses, travelling, chocolate (except dark chocolate - not a fan), researching historical eras and looking for inspiration for her next book.

I am 86 years old and have read An marked books for years. They are wonderfully written as nd hard to put down. The one I tried to dead before this is not at all my cup of tea. It is called Long distance love and a young woman starting a new life has sexual thoughts after meeting a man and descriptions of how she is being aroused so I did not read further. Please continue to keep us spellbound like we are in most all your books. At my age reading is my most enjoyable hobby and you write great stories.

Great story set in Australia during the gold rush time. Loved the main character of Philippa who had courage and defied convention. Enjoyed the description of the country side and bush by the author, which made you feel the landscape and added depth to the story. New author for me, but I will look for more books by her.
