I loved A Royal Mile! It completely consumed me and made my heart feel full. The emotion, the drama, the angst, and the amazing sexual tension had me rooting for Lily and Sebastian from the start. There was a slow burn that snuck up on me because I was so deeply invested in their story and lives, it was incredibly well done. I couldn’t get enough!
Lily and Sebastian were everything. She’s smart, beautiful, and driven, though a bit insecure, while he’s dealing with some family stress and pain from his past. Their early tension and banter were fantastic, and I loved how Lily stood her ground while Sebastian worked hard to be her friend. I loved watching their friendship grow. I thought there was a wonderful build as their layers were peeled back and secrets were learned. I thought their chemistry was electric, full of a want and need they kept trying to deny. There were a lot of different, nuanced feelings that I loved. When their feelings finally collide, it was epic and perfectly timed. Their overall growth was excellent. I loved seeing Lily’s confidence grow and her choose herself when she needed to. Sebastian's healing from a past trauma was equally well done. I really liked how they championed each other in such a meaningful way.
I adored the cast of characters involved. I enjoyed their friend group immensely and all the different dynamics. I loved Lily’s family and her chosen family. I liked Sebastian’s sister and Lily’s sister, January, as well, she was refreshing. I liked the tie-ins with Beth and Callan’s story from book one, and I’m already excited for Baird’s story in the next book.
This book had it all - angst, drama, humor, romance, and heartfelt emotion. I loved the playful, entertaining moments that were mixed in, making it feel well-rounded and bringing in some levity when needed. It flowed nicely with excellent development. I love getting completely lost in a story and feeling every bit of it. I highly recommend this one!

This is the 2nd book in the series and follows Lily Sawyer & Sebastian Thorne. Lily is a senior at Edinburgh University studying to become a psychotherapist. She also runs a dating podcast with her two friends. Sebastian, a member of the British Royal Family (thirtieth in line to the throne), attends the same University. Lily & Sebastian quickly become enemies when she discovers he is one of the hosts of a rival podcast. Lily wants nothing to do with Sebastian, but he slowly worms his way into her life.

This story had the perfect amount of angst, passion and laughs! I knew from the start that I could easily relate to Lily’s shy, introverted ways but she wasn’t a pushover and I loved watching her put Sebastian in his place after she discovered he wasn’t who he first led her to believe. The dating podcast was a fun addition to the storyline and of course made for some drama too, nothing like airing a little dirty laundry to listeners! But Lily and Sebastian shared this connection that was hard to deny, they built this bond that allowed them to open up to each other like they had never done before, even if they had a rocky start. The road to their happily ever after wasn’t easy, both had trauma in their past to overcome, and of course, Sebastian’s Royal connections couldn’t be overlooked but I loved the way they fought their way to their forever love.
This angsty, drama filled, new adult romance audiobook was such a fun and heartfelt listen!

Shane and Zara brought the perfect emotional delivery of the story to this angst filled romance. I felt Sebastian’s anguish over what he had gone through and his hesitation to allow himself happiness again with Shane’s performance. And Zara portrayed the introverted Lily so well, I could feel her self doubt but in the same turn her determination to rise above and show Sebastian he deserved love! Overall loved this story, I definitely have to go back and listen to Lily’s parent’s story!
