In FIRST NIGHT, we met Maria, an overworked creative professional living in New York City, and Hunter, a Senate aide from Washington, D.C. when their lives crossed paths in Philadelphia on New Year’s Eve.     In A SECOND CHANCE FOR A FIRST DATE, we continue where FIRST NIGHT left us. We're with the same lovable characters, Maria and Hunter, who captured our hearts, as well as each other's, in the first novel. This love-at-first-sight story unfolds as Maria and Hunter try to deal with the distance dilemma that separates them, as well as interference from the forces in the universe that seem to scheme against them. There are unexpected plot twists and hilarious laugh-out-loud moments. The supporting characters are equally as charming and engaging. Woven throughout are the echoes of a mother's wisdom and a strong sense of family that create a hopeful story about what the New Year, after New Year's Eve, can bring. Sometimes when life throws you an obstacle, it may be a nudge toward something better.

It's a romantic romp involving all sorts of mishaps and the challenges of being young. Light a fire, pour some red wine, heat up the lasagne and get ready for a fun winter adventure. You'll be filled with warmth and finish the book hoping for a sequel.
