A Senseless Killing (Detective Inspector Benedict Paige Book 6) Kindle Edition

4.2 out of 5 stars 124 ratings

Why would anyone want to kill her?

Tammy Fournier, an elderly woman with Alzheimer's, is found dead – murdered in her own bed. To Detective Inspector Benedict Paige, it seems like a totally senseless killing.

It soon becomes apparent that Tammy’s husband, intending to start a fresh life with his lover, had recently changed his wife’s will, making him the sole beneficiary.

As far as DI Paige is concerned, it’s an open-and-shut case.

Until a sudden change of events turns the case on its head.

Deep-rooted family secrets are laid bare, exposing a fractured family torn apart by long-standing resentments and animosity.

DI Paige realises there is a vengeful murderer on the loose, determined to exact revenge.

This is far from a straightforward investigation.

There's more to this than you might believe possible.
I was falling over myself during reading and backtracking in my brain and frankly got pretty tied up.
In twists and turns, this book will hold you firm to the end.

A fair few typos and missing words, incl poor punctuation but still a gripping read.
    I reported what I could.

Appalling spelling, factual errors, plot errors, malapropisms, incorrect use of words... I started correcting them but got so bored with the frequency, I gave up. How a professional author could publish something with so many errors is beyond me. I won't be reading any more of this author's books.

Poor attention to detail. Spelling mistakes. Too many characters. Not the usual standard. It will be my last book of the series.
