A drop of poison is all it takes to bring the biggest wedding of the season to its knees.

Anastasia Winters adheres to the adage that
the show must go on, but when the groom of her latest wedding drops dead before “I do,” she’s left with no backup plan.

Things get even stickier when her friend and esteemed caterer, Francois, is named the top suspect.

Ana's loyalties are tested as the investigation turns into a vicious tug-of-war. She believes Francois is innocent, but holding the other side of the rope is the lead detective--her serious boyfriend--and the more she struggles, the more her own chance at happily ever after starts to unravel.

It’s up to Anastasia to find the killer, while gripping tightly to her relationships before they break and leave her with nothing.

Review

Amanda Ronconi is very familiar and was a welcome sound when I picked this one up in audio edition. She has been the voice of all the author's books and let me say, that is a good thing.-- "Night Owl Book Cafe"

I really enjoyed reading this trilogy. I almost wish there were more books with Ana and Caleb in them. I hope we get to see them popping up in the Beechwood Harbor series.

While I'm still annoyed that the author barely describes the characters, I enjoyed the book too much to remove a star for it.

The mystery itself was meh and predictable. I liked the magic that was involved, it was unique. I really like Meryl and glad she will continue on in other books. Not sure how I feel about Harmony, she's flighty and not strong enough to carry a book. Good thing she's just a supporting character (for now).

I didn't like that Ana went the route of so many other MCs in cozy mysteries by putting her nose in police business. One of the reasons I liked these books was because she didn't do that. This wasn't a stereotypical cozy mystery. The police weren't bumbling incompetent idiots, the MC wasn't a clueless fool, and there was very little bickering.

Seeing Hyacinth and Kait finally getting a smack down was awesome.

    Loved, loved, loved the ending.

Just when I thought it couldn’t get better, Ms. Garrett brings it!
When a disaster happens, (book 2) Anastasia quits her job at A Touch of Magic. Now she’s facing, what? She’s 🤔 uncertain.
Her sister seems to be hiding something but she doesn’t know what. The only thing Harmony ever wanted to do was to go into potions. Anastasia’s dream was always an event planner.
Well maybe the dreams will come true.
The part about having a sexy boyfriend has! Caleb is a dream come true. Even though they were so busy it was hard to get together.
    Things will turn out ok.
    Love the ending!
    Must read.

The third installment in the adventures of Anastasia Winters and her sister, Harmony, we are exposed to the downside of working with the public--the really, really downside. Anastasia has been working for the last six plus months to pull off the wedding of the season for Evan Stimpton and Charlene Fitzpatrick. Evan is an entitled brat while Charlene is one of the 'mean' girls.
No detail is too small for nitpicking!
When the groom drops dead in front of the alter, no one wants to say "I do".
A large number of changes come to Anastasia as she works to help find a killer.
I've enjoyed this trilogy of magical adventures with Anastasia Winters and her friends. The characters are likable and detailed while the plot is developed and left me wondering "who did it?"

I've finally caught up on the Anastasia Winters world of wedding planning. This most recent book was a joy to read. Having read Danielle 's other series (look them up. They'e enthralling) I expected no less and was not left wanting.
Anastasia 's big society wedding not only has a Bridezilla but a Groomzilla too. Counting down the hours until she can shake the glittery dust of this wedding off her feet, Ana is gobsmacked when Evan, the boorish groom, collapses & dies as Charlene, the snobby bride, arrives at the front of the wedding venue. To cap an absolutely horrid day, Kait, her assistant/enemy calls Hyacinth, volcanic tempered boss of A Touch of Magic. After being hauled over the coals as if the murder was her fault, Anastasia gives her boss a tongue lashing of her own & quits. Though wedding planner is her dream job, Ana finds herself wondering what her future will hold. In the meantime, her SPA agent boyfriend, Caleb, is lead investigator on Evan's murder. So Ana decides to help. After all, she has to fill her time somehow.

I have loved this series from the start, the characters are great and they mysteries very entertaining. This is the final for right now book in Anastasia’s world and the author did a great job. It was funny, serious, full of love and family. A great ending.

Ana's got the wedding of the year with the worst clients. Evan is a diva and a control freak. Then he drops dead at the altar and Ana's boyfriend is the lead investigator. When an arrest is made, Ana doesnt feel right about it. Then a chance encounter on the street sets events in motion that completely throws everything up in the air.

I love seeing the development that Harmony has made. And Ana striking out on her own was so exciting.

A great read. Nice plot that was overshadowed by the events in her personal life making the mystery just a touch superfluous. Great to see the way she suddenly got a backbone and wiped the smile off Hyacinth's and Kait's faces. Plus it ended on a really sweet note.
The wedding from hell would soon be over. That's all she kept saying to herself as the groom found another reason to throw his weight around - for hours! However when he falls down dead as his would be brides feet it all feels unreal. But when Hyacinth shows up with demands that she makes things right, it's the straw that broke the camel's back. She quits! What on earth has she done? Add in the 'bride's' secret meeting with a former partner of the dead groom, an innocent man being charged, a new business venture, her sister pursuing her dreams, a hostage situation and Caledonian making a grand gesture.

Oh what we do for love, but equally when we hate. It is good to follow the progression of the various relationships. Good can triumph over evil.
