A Werewolf, A Vampire, and A Fae Walk Into A Bar (The Last Witch Book 1) Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 1,815 ratings

I lived a pretty ordinary life—a kid raised in my family’s bar who went off to college to escape the small-town life. But when my grandfather died and I returned to take over the family business, I discovered a much more extraordinary world waiting for me.

Vampires, werewolves and fae are real.

And they want my baby.

My daughter is meant to fulfill some crazy prophecy related to the end of all magical creatures, but I’m having none of that. Now, since I can’t get rid of them, the three Sexies who walked into my bar that fateful, stormy night, work for me.

They can change diapers and serve drinks while I get a handle on not only being a new single mom, but also the center of a race war between creatures I previously believed were myths.

I didn’t expect any of this. Not the Sexies. Not the single motherhood. And certainly not the chemistry I feel with each of them.

But we don’t have time for raging postpartum hormones. Because they aren’t the only ones after my child, and keeping her safe is proving a more dangerous job than the What to Expect Books ever prepared me for.

For fans of A Shade of Vampire, Vampire Girl, Don’t Rush Me, The Lost and the Chosen, Hunted, Hidden Kingdom Trilogy, and All the Pretty Monsters. From USA Today bestselling author Karpov Kinrade and Evan Gaustad, experience a fantasy romance that will suck you in and leave you wanting more!

This is proof not to judge a book by its cover while I find the cover atrocious this was really good. A ton of action and a ton going on. Decent world building a little predictable while still throwing twists and turns at you I am really interested to see where this series will go. I will definitely be reading more very funny too!!

Quirky and absolutely entertaining, this series beginner kept me glued to its pages. This was fun with hilarious moments and inner dialogue that was both poignant and hit me with all the feels. Bernie and her Sexies are must meet characters. Who doesn't want to be fated to a werewolf, a vampire, and a fae!?

Bernie is so very likable! You can't help but want to wrap her up and tackle the baddies on her behalf. But that's not who she is. She's quite fierce and has zero qualms about protecting those she cares about most. Her bestie is fantastic! And I love the dynamic between the two.

Each guy is alluring and just so delicious. They're all very different with personalities to add them to the top of any book boyfriend list.

If you like your romance simmering with slow burn goodness, this was written just for you.

I kind of expected a lot more jokes but the book wasn't forthcoming with those. What it did have was an interesting and imaginative storyline with some great surprises.

I am usually not a big fan of the RH genre at all, but I enjoyed this one immensely. I loved the humor, the mystery, and the camaraderie that Bernie, A.J., Darius, Rune, and Lev share.
I Really had a good laugh when these 3 men first came in to her bar and thought she was going to hand over her baby to one of them. I would have gone all tiger/ninja mom on anyone who tried to take my baby, as I am sure Bernie would have.
I loved the way one mystery after another about the town of Rowley and it's occupants were revealed. It was like opening a big box and finding a smaller one inside that one and so on to reveal yet another piece of the puzzle.
I loved the happy/sad ending. Though it was very open ended, it wasn't a cliffhanger. I hate those unless the whole series is done. This ending was perfect, though. I have a feeling they are in for several more battles given the fae, vampire, and shifter worlds are all after baby Rain and Bernie.
I love A.J., Bernie's best friend. She is a wonderful piece of work that I can totally relate to. I feel like she is a soul sister. I hope she gets an HEA too. Maybe even her own story. (hint, hint).
This book has it all, comedy, sarcasm, drama, mystery, secrets, anger, and love. I definitely recommend this book. It is a great read, and I can't wait for book 2 to come out. 💖💖💖

I love the characters and the structure built around each one. I can visualize each one and the bar. I did have a hard time believing that three grown men would be as enthralled as you want the readers to believe with Bernie. She stinks being a human, and comes off as a preteen mom. I didn't see the attraction. I would recommend this book

Not your typical vamp, lycan, and fae novel. I enjoyed reading it and trying to work out who was the good guys and who was the bad, and was happy to find out that the five supernatural beings are linked and up for new adventures. I might even get those eventually. A fairly decent book for research into how to write those critters.

I want to start out by saying I don't give five-star reviews very often. I am probably pickier than the average reader. I read upwards of three hundred books a year; I need something to really stand out yo get that final star. The Last Witch delivered!

I love when authors manage to make an old trope (supernatural species at war for eons) feel new again! The slow-rolling build up is the perfect touch to build this world from scratch all while telling a solid story about a mother's love, a daughter's heartbreak, and a lover's potential.

The narration in this book is absolutely sublime. I never once questioned how the authors portrayed a person or scene, how anything or anyone reacted, nor did I ever wonder what the point was of any moment.

Our heroine, Bernie, is simultaneously hilariously irreverent, painfully broken, and unendingly strong. She has believable, deep relationships in her best friend & her grandmother & even her regular bar patrons.

The love interests, Darius the vampire, Zev the werewolf, and Rune the fae, have obvious back story that makes the reader wonder, but the mystery is never ANNOYING nor does it feel like a missing answer. We get fed enough tidbits to satisfy waiting for more.

The climax was only a bit predictable, but still with enough of a twist to keep it enjoyable. I repeatedly had to stare off into space for a few minutes to get control of whatever emotion I had (anger, sadness, anxiety, you name it).

I desperately need to read the next book!

I only managed to find this by chance, a freebie on Amazon. I loved the sound of the title so I gave the book a go.
I very much enjoyed it. I thought the story flowed well, it kept the reader entertained, interested and guessing.
The characters were fun, memorable and likeable. Rune is definitely my favourite, the kind one out of the three Sexies.
It definitely made me laugh with some of the things said, done and thought.
Overall, I really recommend and I will be getting this series on paperback to add to my collection!

This was fun and humorous and sweet and I really enjoyed it. At times it was a bit extra but that was all part of the charm.

I'm not a fan of the pregnancy trope at the end of romances but this was a whole new take. The entire plot revolved around a single mum amd her baby, and you know what, I freaking loved it. It was refreshing for an MC to be focused on someone else so intensely instead of themselves.

I loved the Irish bar and small town community vibe and the way they looked out for their own.

If you're looking for a fun, fast moving, plot driven PNR with a lot of heart, look no further. This one is a great find.
