Once Upon a Wild Fling is the third and final book in Lauren Blakely's Heartbreaker's series and I loved it as much as I did the first two books in the series! I said after I read the last book that this was my favorite series that Blakely has written and I can now say that is 100% accurate.
Miles is the youngest of the three Hart brothers and while he had been out on the road pursuing a solo career, he's made the decision to come back home to reunite with his brothers as they put the band back together. He also is a single dad and being able to give his son, Ben a more stable environment in which to grow up in. The one thing in his life that has taken a hit is his love life and after Ben's mother left him high and dry only days after his birth, the last thing he's looking for is any kind of romantic entanglement. The only problem is, there is a woman who has caught his eye, but he knows she's off limits for several reasons, the biggest being she's the sister of his best friend.
Roxy Sterling has made a lot of decisions and changes in her life recently. Not only did she leave her job on Wall Street to start her own pet massage and grooming business, but she's also decided that she's just not good at dating and she's sworn off trying to find someone to settle down with or even to date. While she has made that decision, that doesn't mean she hasn't noticed her brother's friend Miles, but since he is her brother's friend, she knows he's off limits.
When Miles and Roxy agree to be one another's plus-one for any events they each have to attend, they obviously begin spending more time together. While it does solidify a friendship, it also brings other feelings to light. Will they act on it or will their pasts cause them to shy away?
I've adored all of the characters in this series. They are such cool people and while they all had struggles and/or challenges, I just loved the way the stories were told and how they unfolded. Miles is an amazing father and the everything he does is for Ben. If that's not sexy, I don't know what is. Speaking of Ben, how can you NOT love this kid?! He's beyond adorable and I will forever love the phrase "chicken magnet" going forward! I also loved Roxy because she knew what she wanted and she wasn't afraid to go after it even when others thought she might be nuts. She was true to herself and I think that is one of the best lessons we can all learn.
I truly loved this entire series and I would highly recommend picking up this title, but the series as a whole!

When he asks her to be his plus one to his high school reunion, it ends in a fiery kiss that he hopes can lead to more. But a new secret from Roxy puts on the brakes; she's pregnant and on the way to single motherhood. Now Miles has a lot more to think about then just his desires. Roxy hasn't had the best luck with dating. Dud after awkward date, she's resigned herself to finding her HEA by herself and becoming a single mother. But her mother warned her about "what ifs", mainly what if she finds mister right after she's already become a mommy-to-be? For once she has to admit her mother may be right when a night with Miles turns her fantasies to life. Now she has to risk it all and wish for more than just friends with benefits with the rock star dad. Call me lame but I didn't connect to well with this couple. I felt a little thrown into it in the beginning and was lost as to what was going on. Miles and Roxy seem ti be more acquaintances than friends but within a few weeks become madly in love with one another only from a few hours once a week? It didn't feel believable to me. Where they are each smart and caring characters, i felt like they were smooshed together rather than finding their way to one another. I liked the chemistry they had but there just wasn't enough of it, i wanted more longing, more glances and what if moments between them. It's slow burn for sure and worth the wait but afterwards I felt it fizzle a bit. A little middle of pack for Blakely's generally steamy and sassy reads, but an easy romance for those who don't want any drama.
