I really liked this book
This is the first book that I have read by Melissa Sercia. I was fortunate enough to have received a ARC copy of this book in exchange for a voluntery honest review. This book is a steamy paranormal romance. It is a standalone novel. Raven is suffering from heartbreak she decides she needs a change and moves to the city. Ozi is a gorgeous playboy Vampire who doesn't like relationships. I found that the characters pulled me in and kept me reading. I had some questions and by the end I had all the answers. I enjoyed the story and how it all played out by the end. There was some mystery, attraction, steam, Alpha hero, and a heroine that became stronger throughout the book. I would gladly read more books from this author. I liked her writing style. If you like Romance books mixed with paranormal characters and HEA story then I think you would enjoy this book. This book is set to be released on October 27th 2020

    Melissa Sercia stuns in the best possible way with this alluring, sexy vampire romance. I read this in two days; it was that amazing. I loved that her characters have real flaws and that Raven and Ozi helped each other pick up the pieces. Their love story is one that will stick with me for a long time after reading that final page. The twist had me on the edge of my seat. I highly recommend this book and look forward to book 2. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review, but I loved it so much I purchased it as well so I could support the author.

    After I Fall was a good introduction into a new to me author and a decent start to the Immortal Billionaires series. Raven and Ozi have an insta-love sort of connection but I didn’t hate it here. Raven is a Mary Sue but Ozi still finds her captivating and “not like other girls”. The side characters were good and I’m definitely interested in reading their stories. I also liked that Raven was always the one to make the first move towards anything physical. That brought a good balance to their power dynamic. I do wish that we had more info on the plot twist. That could have used some more details. I’m also sick of the use of a gay BFF in romance books. Can we just have a gay character who isn’t there for a gimick or to serve and a literary teacup puppy for the FMC? This book was a solid 3 stars for me and I’m for sure going to keep reading the series.

    When Raven journeys to New York in pursuit of her dream of becoming a chef, she soon lands a dream job at a top resaurant only to become entangled with the mysterious and charismatic, Ozi, owner of the restaurant and her boss's boss. The pair are caught up almost instantly of a passionate relationship of cat and mouse which neither of them fully understand. Soon Ozi's vampiric past puts them both in danger in the form of Camille, Ozi's ex from a century ago who is bent on revenge in whatever form she can get it.

    I just freaking love Raven. She is both strong and assertive, while being deeply broken from her failed relationship with Alex, her ex who dumped her for her sister. Despite being caught in a whirlwind of event that put her directly in Ozi's path, Raven manages to be come off as fiercely independent. I loved her combination of country girl innocence coupled with a savvy determination to get what she wants. I love the way Sercia builds main characters.

    Ozi is charming, but still a bit rough and I liked the combination. All to often when female writers come up with their paramours in romance novels, they are a bit too nice, too perfect. Ozi is kind of a jerk until he meets Raven and I dig that. I might have liked a bit more development from him from feckless cad to loving boyfriend, but then again he is several centuries old so not like he's going to change much in a couple of weeks.

    Overall, this was an interesting story. I don't read steamy romance, but this book kept me hooked till the end and eager to learn more about where the series will go from here. I also loved the mystery of what was up with Raven's mostly absent roommate and whether she was connected to Ozi's inner circle.

    My daughter said I needed to read this book. That’s how I ended up reading it. I used to read Sherrilyn Kenyon and Katie MacAlister, so she thought I would enjoy it. She was right. Uzi is a fun vampire. Kind of Lestat-y in a way. The “I know I’m hot and powerful” but not horrible to people. Confident but in a sexy way. Raven, I felt for her. Not only because she’d been hurt, but because falling for a man like Uzi means that your life will never be peaceful. LOL. At any rate, I really enjoyed the book.

    After I fall is the first book in Melissa Sercia’s Immortal Billionaires and Vampires are my favourite trope! This is the first of Ms Sercia’s books I have read, and I was excited by the storyline and wonderful characters that made this such an entertaining read. Raven is looking to start in a new location over after experiencing heartbreak, while Ozi is a fun time playboy with no intentions of committing to a serious relationship. There’s an element mystery to the story, but all is revealed by the end. A thoroughly enjoyable paranormal romance, After I Fall is a book that I’m happy to recommend.

    After I fall was an amazing paranormal-romance book! I really enjoyed that book. It read easily and fast. I couldn't put it down and I ended up reading it in two sitting.

    We fallow the story of Raven, a young woman who just left her small hometown to try to become a chef in New York City, and Ozi, an immortal billionaires who own the restaurant where Raven ends up working as a waitress.

    Of course we know within the first chapter that they will end up together! If they didn't, it wouldn't be a good paranormal-romance. The fun was to see them struggle and try to stay away from each other until they couldn't take it anymore. Not even 25% in the book and I couldn't wait for them to be in a bedroom together. The build up of the sexual tension was perfect. There was just enough smut in this book. Not too much to be called an erotica book, and not not enough to let you on your hunger for more.

    I think the plot was good. We were way more focus on the character development than any other mysteries in the book like some other par-rom out there. I didn't want to read a mystery book so that was perfect in itself.

    I found the ending a bit rushed out. I would have love the book to keep on going for maybe a chapter or two. But it wasn't a big deal and it didn't make me like the book less for that.

    Melissa delivered exactly what I was expecting. A sexy vampire story (without the gore of some out there) with good character development and a bit of mystery.

    I can't wait to read the next book in this series!
