Alignment (Lost in Translation Book 4) Kindle Edition

4.6 out of 5 stars 18 ratings

Dorran’s father is supposed to be dead.

But he’s not.

Dorran is finally settling in—things with Eli’s parents are going well, even though Eli’s mom is still uncomfortable with their relationship, and Eli seems to be more accepting of Dorran’s ability to see ghosts and Francis’ presence in their life.

Then Dorran opens his door to find his father, Angus, on the other side.

Dorran grew up thinking his father was dead. That’s what his mother told him, and Dorran never doubted her. He clearly should have, though, and now he’s confused and unsure whether or not he wants a relationship with his father.

But when Angus is arrested for the murder of his mother-in-law, Dorran can’t abandon him. Angus might have done exactly that when Dorran was three, but that’s not the kind of man Dorran is.

Catherine is the creator of several series, most of them paranormal, including the Whitedell Pride Series and the Gillham Pack Series. While she graduated in translation, she decided to go the writer’s way because it was more fun to create her own stories and characters.

She’s been living in Italy for more than twenty years, but she’s a daughter of the North—Belgium to be precise—and she misses it so much that she’s already planning to move back.

She loves pizza—probably too much —her pets, and of course, books. She sneaks some reading time in her schedule every time she has five minutes free from writing, demands from her various pets and son, and lastly, housework.

    a good read

I truly think that this has come to be my favorite book within this series. Within it, you get a lot more detail on the history that is Dorran. Where he finds out that someone he once thought was forever gone from his life, is suddenly, literally, knocking at his front door. Trying to reconnect. It was nice to see a bit more of his family dynamics, and come to understand a little more on their outlooks on life. Even Eli seems to take the next step forward in welcoming Dorran's gifts along with his friends into his life. I really, really enjoyed how this book was set forth. Though, it makes me wonder now just what next will stumble into Dorran's lap. And if his now growing family will be able to handle it. I highly recommend this book along with the series!

Dorran and Eli are finally somewhat settled and things are going well even if Eli works long hours on his cases, when a blast from Dorran’s past comes knocking on his door. Lies from his past comes up and him and his siblings need to decide if they want to learn the truth or leave things as they are.
I had a bit of trouble liking Dorran in this one. He was a bit wishy-washy and seems negative about just about everything at least at first. Eli, on the other hand, seems like a hard worker who seems determined to find out the truth about who committed the crime.
The relationship takes a backseat for a lot of the book, but there are a few sexy times to be had and I enjoyed the scenes where they were able to hang out together and just be. Of all it was an enjoyable read with my favorite combination of romance and who done it mystery.

Loved the new additional to a great series. I have to admit that Dorran is my on/off character. Sometimes he drives me crazy and others I just love him. Okay... he actually reminds of a close friend who does the same lol! Eli and Dorran have a great relationship and this book, while the focus is more on the mystery than their romance, shows it in the quiet fun times they spend together. I love how Eli is slowly coming to terms with Dorran's gifts!

I'm glad that Eli made his mother aware of the relationship and that Eli and Dorran are doing well as a couple now. Eli has come to understand Dorrans gift of see ghosts even though he is uncomfortable with it. Elis mom doesn’t like that he is with Dorran but they work though it. Dorran gets a surprise when his dead dad shows up and no he is not a ghost. But I am looking forward to reading more

I loved this story! So many conflicting emotions and difficult choices! This is a great addition to the series, the plot progression is awesome and guarantees no boredom! It was a great read!

In the continuation of the Lost in Translation Series Eli comes to term with Dorran’s gift and acceptance of Francis. Dorran finds lost and new family members; accepting the misbehavior of others; all the while dealing with angry and wayward ghosts. Good Story

I am biased as murder, psychics, ghosts and cops is a favourite theme for me. Dorran's family troubles continue but finally Eli is on board. There was still some relationship angst but I hope we have seen the end of it as personally I do not enjoy reading it. Eli's mum is struggling to accept his chosen partner but she is trying hard. A nice murder takes place but as suspects are few it is not mind blowing. I hope there are more stories to come but the ending did not indicate one way or the other.
