    Zac was a little more player than I expected. I guess because in Mark and Jess's book he spent more time with Jess, his bestfriend and his brother so we didn't see what he was doing behind the scenes.

    Oh but it only takes one night in the rain, a strange but beautiful woman "rescuing" him, and the ability to talk with her so easily for him to turn in his players card. However, because who he really is, high powered COO Zac Donovan - he doesn't give her his real name, just James Smith.

    Hannah Banana is this kick ass special agent who in real life is a super aunt to her twin brothers 3 children. She'd do anything for those kids because they belong to Harrison and Cecile.

    Hannah and Zac navigate a series of misunderstandings, media attention, working together, falling in love, and giving everything up to do what she does best - protect her family. Their world can be righted with the right amount of pixie dust and an army of friends and family who believe that these two belong together.

    Once again, Lexxi James constructs another book with equal amounts of steam, banter, intrigue, mystery family and romance. I only put it down because I needed to sleep.

    I liked these Bishop Mountain books. Lexxi James really knows how to write alluring alpha men who are also endearing. I love stories where the men fall hard and fall first and these two books really did a great job with the set up.

    While I generally liked this book and it was a fun and engaging read, I took one star because the FBI plot was ridiculous. If one person could figure out the mystery then it wasn’t really a great secret to begin with.

    Maybe the Bureau is as inept as it was portrayed in the book but it really irritated me that there were all number of plot holes related to that aspect of the book. Which is too bad, because otherwise, the writing was well done and it had emotionally authentic characters. Don’t want to put any spoilers in here but c’mon. There’s no way Hannah would have ended working at Centurion.
