    I've never read a book quite like this before, which made it really fun to read. So many surprises along the way, I never wanted to stop reading. Star captured my heart from the start. He really has a rough go of things and I couldn't wait for him to find his happy ending. He was a bit of a brat at times but I loved that about him. He has a good heart. Anubis is quite the character. He's typical of a god. He can be a D but one you love, lol. He really is lovable and caring and he made me laugh. The two of them together were hot and fun and sweet, everything you want in a couple. The story is full of twists and turns, sweetness and sex, redemption and love. It's an incredible story you don't want to miss!

    I love the magical feel of this story. I have a read a few of the Valleywood stories but not all so you can read this as a standalone. This story is actually a decent length, and you get very immersed into the world and lives of these characters. I do not want to take away the specialness of the romance so I will just say that Star gets a second chance in an alternate type of universe to make the right choices in life and love. Anubis being a God does not make this easy! He is as righteous and stubborn as one can be, but I enjoyed him! Very unique installment in this series. I was so happy for Star's newfound world of happiness with Anubis by his side.

    Stars life changes when he was incarcerated. Waking up a changed man, a phone call from someone in his past sets him on a course that will lead him to Anubis.

    A paranormal tale that has elements of magic, revenge, twists and turns, secrets and danger, family meddling, overcoming past hurts and eventual happiness.
    An entertaining read overall.
