David Lingard was born on the South East coast of England. He grew up in a small and sunny seaside town a stones' throw from the first landing point of Julius Caesar on the British Isles. This may or may not have contributed to his love for both ancient history, and stories of myth and fantasy.

​David writes books in the LitRPG (Gamelit), Fantasy, Sci-Fi and Historical Fantasy genres, though this is not strictly limited as time goes by. He writes what he loves and that means sometimes writing outside of the lines!

    When I started this book I did not know where it should take me. The twists and turns were amazing. I just had to keep reading chapter after chapter. A brilliant unexpected ending.
    I have read all of David Lingards books and this was up there with no best.
