Misty Black's Bubble Head, It's Time for Bed is a short children's story full of imagination and adventure. Misty incorporates educational bits about the days of the week and hygiene that parents and educators can go over with children. The story was illustrated by Ana Rankovic and the pictures are beautiful and vibrant. The illustrations portray the many adventures that Bubble Head goes on in his imagination and they are sure to capture the attention of young readers and listeners. Misty's writing encourages the importance of fostering imagination and creativity in young minds. Bubble Head's vivid imagination and non-stop adventures are sure to capture your young one's attention and keep them engaged until the very end! I read it to my four-year-old and he loved it. This is an adorable story of a little boy with a big imagination. His sudsy bathtub playtime takes him on a new creative adventure each day of the week. Dragon, walrus, t-rex, pirate, robber... this is imaginative play at its best! The rhyme and rhythm of the story is perfect, and kids will find themselves repeating along with the reader as they chant: Splish, splash, bubble bath, pop, pop... Aaah! What a perfect story that will inspire kids to play and enjoy bathtime, as well as reinforce the value of a good night's sleep.

    In this story, we follow a boy and his bubble bath adventure for one week, starting on Sunday and on down to Saturday. Told from the perspective of the boy, we see him in bubble bliss as a sailor, a monster, a T-Rex, a walrus, a thief, and even as a dragon! (You'll have to read it to find out what's special about his dragon.) My favorite part is the "Splish, splash, bubble bash, pop, pop..." refrain that's repeated throughout the book, a great little ditty to announce bath time to your kids. And also throughout the story, there's a little yellow rubber ducky to spot in the illustrations, the perfect "Can you spot the ducky" hunt for when the kids ask you to read the story "one more time"!
