- Reviewed in the United States on June 7, 2024My toddler was struggling with understanding why I could hold the baby but not her, even though she could articulate “mommy has a boo boo.” This was a nice addition to give her a visual. She has enjoyed reading it over and over.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 26, 2022 I was really terrified that my 2 year old was going to be upset that after my surgery I wouldn’t be able to hold her/pick her up etc. for a while, we tried explaining in advance but I was worried that she wouldn’t understand why I could hold baby but I couldn’t hold her, so I got this book and I highly recommend it!
It’s a cute book about older siblings of C-section babies, and talks about how baby is here and mommy has a boo-boo, and even though mommy can’t pick you up she still loves you and wants to celebrate when you’re happy and wants to hold you when you’re sad, and different things that big kids can do that the baby can’t, that the boo-boo is not babies fault and that mommy can’t wait until she’s all better to be able to do all the normal things with you again type of thing and no matter what mommy and daddy love them….
I CRIED The first time I read it to my daughter and as I read it she totally connected the dots and even made me let her sleep with the book her in her bed the first night… she was holding it like a teddy bear 🥺
Anyway it’s such a good book and a decent price on Amazon it was totally worth it to help explain things in a storytelling way to kiddos!!

- Reviewed in the United States on December 16, 2023Bought this for my grandchildren after the C-section birth of their new baby sister. The two-year-old loves the lovely illustrations and the 3 1/2-year-old actually gets the message of the book: Mommy still loves you, but she has a boo-boo on her belly that needs to heal before she can lift heavy things (older siblings included!). Such a helpful book to give to siblings of a C-section baby!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 11, 2025This book helped prepare my toddler for not only her new sibling but that I was going to have a C-section. The book helped my daughter understand what the c-section meant in kid terms and how I would be after her brother was born. She was so sweet and would use phrases from the book when talking about my C-section before and after having it. This book was really helpful in helping her to understand what was going to happen.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 24, 2022The complexity yet innocence found within a children's book will always amaze me. This read was quick and easy, but utterly powerful at the same time. I love reading to my children, especially when it's something meaningful and worthwhile.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 10, 2024Grandson loved it
- Reviewed in the United States on June 12, 2022This is an adorable story that helps explain after C-section mommy to little kids. I love that it makes helping out and being thoughtful a privilege for big kids.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 18, 2023My 4 year old has been asking lots of questions and this was a great addition to the conversations we’ve been having!

2.0 out of 5 stars Poor quality
Poor quality printing, it’s like it has been made at home. Words are a bit odd e.g. ‘boo boo’ for pain. Served the purpose of explaining c section to a two year old.
