She loves creating magical fantasy worlds, turbulent relationships and dark, kinky heroes (who could be villains if you squint a bit.)

When she’s not thinking up ways to torment her characters, Zara lives on the beautiful Gold Coast, Australia with two kiddos and a husband who make her real life far more magical than her stories.

I got Wicked Stalker by Zara J. Black's, as an ARC and I loved it. I was already hooked before the end of Chapter 1. This book sent me on a rollercoaster of emotions! The undeniable chemistry and intellectual bond between the main characters. The secret society offers the the MMC the ability to follow his dreams to change the world. The sexally oppressive upbringing of the FMC led to her being a sexually repressed adult. Throw in a crazy plot twist. And a cliffhanger leaving you wanting more. This was the first book, I've read by this author, but definitely won't be my last! I already can't wait for book 2!!

    This is my second book from Z. Black. I love how she can weave a story with characters whom have backbone. Are not afraid to question why and could truly be a real situation in todays society. I dont pity Gabriel one bit he has his handsful with his
    wild cat Eve… never a dull moment im sure. I hope they make apparences throughout the other books.

    I loved books that not only draw you in but you can visual see the scene as it plays out. And Zara definitely did that well in Wicked Stalker.

    Eve is trying to move past her strict religious upbringing by an abusive mother. Which can be hard to move past in just normal circumstances. And adds more complexity to how she is processing and feeling about being a ward and how that upended her entire life.

    Gabriel is a emo nerd who is dedicated to his work and wants to have the freedom to run his experiments without limitations. The Brotherhood allows him to do that. He wasn’t too keen to what he had to do. But having to take a ward had him able to bring up secret fantasies that most people keep buried inside them.

    I really enjoyed this first book and I’m keen to read the next book.

    Not sure what to think…I skipped through about 25% of the book because there was no real story behind this book. Too many loose ends and no background story. Truthfully….i could not find an image of what these characters look like. I might give book 2 a chance but I need more.

    The Brotherhood is weird and I don’t know what it is but it seems like a cult to me.

    Did I find a Zara J Black book almost... sweet? This is still a very dark romance with dark themes. If you like dominant men and secret societies, this is for you. I found Gabriel to be likable as he is just as trapped as Eve, and he is very much obsessed with her. Eve is sweet but also has a backbone. I liked how their relationship developed. I had a hard time putting this book down. A solid start to the series. There's so much to look forward to. I can't wait for the next book!
