Fall into Temptation: A Small Town Love Story (Blue Moon) Audible Audiobook – Unabridged

4.5 out of 5 stars 24,042 ratings

“Your kids are great,” he said, changing the subject.

“Don’t be sweet. I can’t resist sweet,” Gianna warned him.

“Your kids are monsters, and I hate your face.”

Beckett Pierce is the most eligible bachelor in the nosiest small town in upstate New York. But after his last girlfriend handcuffed herself to his porch and set his welcome mat on fire, he’s not looking for any more romance. Especially if it lands right in his own backyard. And has miles of red hair. Gianna Decker has her hands full- no, overflowing- with problems. With two kids, a useless ex, and a brand new yoga studio, the last thing on her mind is finding a man who’ll demand more of her time. Fantasizing about her hot, broody landlord? Mistake. Lusting after the sexy mayor of her new town? Terrible idea. Getting naked with the favorite son of her father’s new lady friend? Getting involved with Beckett has disaster written all over it. Those stolen kisses were accidental. A few moments of strings-free, sizzling passion couldn’t possibly cause any trouble. At least, not until tempers flare when their families complicate things and the interfering citizens of Blue Moon step in with their special brand of chaos.

I loved loved loved this book. The chemistry between Beckett and Gianna was off the charts. Her two children Evan and Aurora made me laugh out loud. I highly recommend this book. So far this is the 2nd book of the series I have read and I am not disappointed. Now on to read Joey and Jax's story.

Gia and Beckett. Their story is unique and gives You all the feels. She’s wary because of her past doing whatever she can to protect her family. So is Beckett. Both fiercely loyal…to a fault

I'm absolutely loving that authors like Lucy Score are bringing a touch of reality to characters by making them need to exercise and eat healthy (most of the time) to maintain their hot bodies. For a wee while there, the main characters were alcohol guzzling, pizza eating, workaholics who lived on four hours of sleep a night. It always seemed effortless for these heroines and their boobs were always perky, legs lusciously long and skin perfectly clear. I wish it was effortless...

Sure, I'm always up for an escape from reality, but with age, I'm realising that I'm picky where I want to focus that escape from reality. Give me characters that are realistic in their everyday lives...BUT...give me a hero that's comfortable sharing the mushy gushy words. I'm a sucker for mushy gushy words. Unfortunately, while I love my hubby, getting mushy-gushy words is like pulling teeth. Sure, I get *I love you* regularly but I would love my hubby to make one of those big gesture declarations like they do in some of my favourite romance reads.

Which bring me to why I enjoyed Fall into Temptation...

Lucy Score has treated me to another story with realistic characters, faults and all, with heroes that bring out the big guns when it comes to their declarations of love. I was left extremely satisfied with my trip back to Blue Moon and I'm very keen to visit again soon.

The new yoga instructor also happens to be Beckett's new tenant and the daughter of his mom's new boyfriend. Beckett is struggling with his attraction to the sexy and very limber woman with fiery red hair. She's not at all his usual type but after the last woman he dated, he has come to realise that maybe it's time to change things up a little. Beckett soon realises that things are about to change a lot in his world when he can't seem to get Gia off his mind. Those kids of hers are making it even harder to resist the temptation of his Red.

Gia doesn't have time for a relationship with the sexy Mayor. Between setting up her new business, settling her kids into a new area and balancing the everyday problems a mother usually faces, she can't risk dropping one of her balls. She can't deny the attraction, though. The more time they spend together, the more her heart is at risk. For a while they attempt to keep things platonic... then after that fails they attempt to keep thing strictly sexual... then after that fails they attempt to keep things private... Things are definitely about to change in Gia, Even and Aurora's (her kids) world.

I love the town of Blue Moon and all its occupants. Their quirky matchmaking team are hilarious and I loved that they maintain a very high level of success. I really wish this town was real because I would love to visit.

If you're looking for a new series to devour and love a sexy romance with realistic ups and downs, I highly recommend giving the Blue Moon series a try.

Fall Into Temptation by Lucy Score is the second installment of her Blue Moon series.

In this book, single mom Gia and town Mayor, Beckett should not like and or want each other. They shouldn’t, but they do.

Ms. Score brings us back to Blue Moon and its wonderful townspeople and quirky characters. Beckett is kind of unlikable, until he isn’t. I rooted more for Gia to find her happily ever after than anything else and really ended up liking Beckett for her.

You can’t go wrong with a Lucy Score book and this was no exception.

Continuing this sweet interconnected standalone small town romance series with the grumpy mayor! I would highly recommend reading the first book in the series because that couple is very prominent in this book. It’s easy to read and so sweet. The kids are adorable and created so many funny moments.

read this if you’re in the mood for…
    - single mom
    - small town antics
    - nosy neighbors
    - forced proximity (she rents his guest house)
    - cute nicknames
    - secret relationship

This book is character driven with the main focus being on the relationship. Her kids added more layers to the story and the complicated relationship with her ex added drama (even if some of it felt unrealistic). I think I liked the first one in the series better but it was still sweet!

Here are a few of my favorite things…
    - the hot power yoga competition lol those classes are BRUTAL
    - “bucket” is so cute
    - the day the Pierce men babysit
    - a fairy garden moment at the end? Adorable!

Overall, I enjoyed! It won’t be my first recommendation but it was still good.

What a great installment in this series. Beckett was so adorable. Full of heart and loyalty, but with flaws as well. Gianna is fierce, loyal, and passionate.

She's a single mom of 2 who has moved to the small town to live by her father after divorce to find her feet and stability. And in doing so, knocks Beckett off his feet.

This series is full of tension, banter and heart. It also deals with baggage for both of them.

I love seeing how the town bands together and the lengths they will go too too help couples find their happiness. This story had me cackling and sighing.

4.0 out of 5 stars Gia & Beckett. Super!
Reviewed in Germany on March 23, 2022
