Bad Blood (Aurora Sky: Vampire Hunter Book 3) Kindle Edition
I thought I could escape the past, but now it's time to face the music--and the mess I left behind. Apparently, I'm a disaster magnet. Naturally, Melcher's waiting with a new assignment that he swears won't interfere with college classes. Why don't I believe him? He could have at least warned me about my new roommate. And guess which fanged fiend shows up at my doorstep? If only vamps required permission to enter.
Also, it turns out text flirting while at boot camp has consequences. I must have been in the desert too long because suddenly my goofy mentor looks like a bronzed Titan god with lips that could divide and conquer.
College is starting, and so is my undercover assignment at a network of swanky parties known as "Tastings" for high-rolling vamps who like their blood laced with fine wine. I'm not the only one on the prowl. An underground investigation is underway to find out who killed one of Anchorage’s most prominent vampires. Guess who is the prime suspect? That's just the beginning.
Arm yourself, pucker up, and prepare to go head-to-head with baddies who bite, roomies who don't respect boundaries, and hotties who never give up.
Gorgeous 2023 updated paperback includes scenic chapter design, leaf graphics, and special phone text formatting.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 7, 2014"Bad Blood" is the best title thus far in the Aurora Sky series.
Aurora , an engineered vamp hunter, is on her way back from boot camp after a high profile kill. Back and ready to go she continues taking down the predators with her toxic blood. She is, excitedly, beginning her freshman year in college and wading around her feelings for Dante. OH! And her grandmother has moved home. A suspicious French teacher, her shady boss and his vamp sidekick, and some mysterious cravings make her wonder. What really happened that day on the icy road? An accident? What is really going on with Aurora Sky?
Series characters have stepped up their game here. I love that they have finally revealed enough history that readers can understand everyone a little better and gave them some depth. Relationships go crazy in this one, but I wouldn't expect anything less with a group of teens. Jefford writes just enough to make it enticing without making it boring and overdone.
This one is the game changer. The plot takes a major detour and leaves a great cliff hanger ending. I am very excited to what the next installment turns up.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 29, 2019Whole series was pretty good. Decent length books. Lots of action. Concept of how vampires were made was quite unique and frankly weird. You had to just go with it and not think about it
- Reviewed in the United States on March 16, 2025Great book!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 3, 2015Aurora Sky had to go to boot camp, once she passed book camp she was able to go home, back to Alaska. Once she gets back to see her family, she starts college and goes on some missions also known as wine tasting. Dante does the wine tasting, he has to play the part of a vampire while Aurora and Valerie gather information on everything.
In the mean time Dante gets close with Aurora, he wants them to be a couple, Aurora isn't really sure if that is what she wants. They kiss and make out. Aurora also finds out who her roommate is, and she is not a happy camper, Noel Harper.
Aurora still believes Fane and Noel hooked up together, and she doesn't want anything to do with them.
Jared' s not in this book, but is mentioned a few times. But the vampire girl, Giselle makes an appearance in the book.
Dante goes missing, Tommy Moe his dog goes missing too.
All in all, I really liked the book, it was well written. The author (Nikki) new where she was going with this book, and she delivered. I gave this a five star.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 8, 2015You ever watch a show or in this case read a book and yell at the character what are you doing?! You should be doing this! Well that's what this book made me feel a couple of times, and I just don't get it because Aurora is part of the team and knows what she should do. It's mainly her safety I don't understand. How are you not going to tell Melcher Henry Harassed you on assignment about the murder of a vampire at a vampire party. And not the night you get drugged either ?
- Reviewed in the United States on August 10, 2014Aurora has returned from bootcamp, Gotten her GED and is ready to attend the local university The dream of Notre Dame go forever. Aurora must work under cover and attend fancy parties for vampires. Its called a "Tasting' were the blood is infused with different types of wines. She share a home with a roommates who turns out to be Nikki, who Aurora had found with fane. Valerie and Aurora have begun to work together to fight against an arch enemy. And Aurora is considered a prime suspect in a vampire killing that should not have happened.Aurora is typical in someways of a young woman just beginning to live on her own, attend college, hopefully the boyfriend thing will work out and she must succeed in her new assignment. I have enjoyed getting to know the main characters and find myself urging them on and watching them develop.I cannot wait till the next Aurora Sky book. I am anxious for Aurora and Valerie to combat the rally bad ass bad guy. Will Aurora continue to desire Fane or will Dane finally touch her heart? What becomes of Nikki? I have become very involved in this story. It just keeps getting better!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 19, 2015Sweet freaking gravy! I couldn’t get enough of Aurora in this installment.
I love how Aurora grows throughout the series. She’s learning more about herself, and the people surrounding her. I was a hardcore Dante fan, but after reading Bad Blood, I think I’m a bigger fan of Fane. Because…… reasons! I also want to know that I still don’t care for Valerie. She drives me freaking crazy with being such a bitch about everything! And talk about a complete turn around with Noel. Daaaannnng. I don’t care about the drama between her and Aurora. I still adore her.
There isn’t as much action in Bad Blood, but we find out some very interesting things. Puzzle pieces are finally starting to fit together, and some of my suspicions were kind of answered. So many revelations. I also love that Aurora finds those she can trust, and those she can’t.
I’m going to end this with, I think we need a short story about Dante during this time period…. Because I want to know how he’s dealing with everything.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 21, 2023Im still enjoying this series. Im liking the twists and turns. I'm still a "Fane" fan. I like Dante and Aurora but not as much. I'm still hoping and praying they get back together.

5.0 out of 5 stars Vampire Goodness
I'd been missing Fane. I was getting all bogged down thinking this book was Fane-less buy no, he's here. Yaaay!!! He he.
There's so many reasons to read Aurora Sky series, Fane being one, plot, twists and turn's being more. They're just great reads.
Now I'm off to buy book 4.

4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoying it
I really enjoyed this book, it was sad that got Dante kidnapped and we don't know what happened to Tommy. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. I can't wait to see how Jared, melcher and the organization go down. I kinda like Giselle except for the things she is doing, I think she should actually join auroral and the gang instead of threatening them.

4.0 out of 5 stars Bad Blood (Aurora Sky: Vampire Hunter 3)
Good book, interesting twist and turns and flowed from the previous book with more questions than answers to new characters coming into the story and learning about their history and culture. Looking forward to the next book hopefully expands on the characters and answers some questions.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great book
Ok so this book picks up more or less where book 2 ended, aurora is in boot camp out of town, keeping out of the way after her run in with Marcus. After she finishes there she heads back home to her home. Her new home.,Her room mate is Noel and as we all know they fell out in book 2.It follows aurora as she comes to terms with what she is, of course Dante is in this book and i really do hope we get some more back ground info on him. The lovely vampire Fane is also in this book and helps aurora out when she finds herself in a tricky situation, i can not wait to see where this story takes us ,A must read xx
