    “My heart always felt like something was missing, and now I feel everything I’ve missed for so long.”

    Sometimes in life, trauma just wraps you up and you spiral down. So was the case for Layton with Daphne as collateral damage, though she struggled afterwards as well. More than one relationship was strained when all said and done but there was real growth and maturity shown which lead to me rooting for them. Loved the priority to Daphne’s hopes and dreams as well. Thank goodness for meddling grandmothers!! The angst mostly happened as backstory and the epilogue was the icing on the cake.

    Beards and Broken Hearts was a great book with a second-chance Romance. I loved how the grandmother is very meddling and knows that her grandson messed up by breaking up with his high school girlfriend after his grandfather passed away I thought it was funny how she locks them in the wine cellar. Layton figured out he had messed up by letting Daphne go and pledged to do whatever it took to be with her. This book is excellent for someone who wants a charming and cute love story. The characters are very romantic. I'd recommend this book to anyone who's enjoying a fast read and a fun read.

    They were to young the first time they met and had a romance but now they are getting a second chance. Well with a little help from his Grandma. They are randomly thrown together and suddenly it all falls into place and the chemistry explodes. Enjoy this fun read.
