    You know when you read a book and it just hits home in your head and heart and sit back and are like “omg, yessss, this!! THIS is so written for me about me I swear!”? Yeah well this one was kinda like that for me! Mental illness is no joke!! Don’t agree? Fight me! I won’t give away to much details but I suffer from the same thing as Hudson (one of the many things I suffer from) and the way he was feeling throughout is really how it is on a daily basis! Which that alone is enough to make you depressed, so it’s basically a never ending battle! I think it was written pretty accurately and I’m glad that he found his people that are willing to help him get through life as happily as can be cause it ain’t easy dealing with someone like that! Also there have been MANY times I have thought maybe I needed another person on my relationship “team” to try and help and that way it would also ease the stress for my husband and I actually think he is almost to the point that he understands and may want to try and see if it will or not. I’ll have him read this book the next time he has nothing to do and see what he thinks! This book just kinda made me sit back and really truly think about everything and I’m glad!

    My hopes were too high for this one I think. It had so many of my favorite tropes; throuple, mental health issues, tiny guys, rock stars, a grump and a cinnamon roll, age gap, body guard... I mean ALL of them. So, it was really good and this series is awesome, but I just did not feel al of the connection equally here or something.

    Jinx can't love just one man, no, he's wanting a rock star and a billionaire's security man. And, the two men Jinx wants, also want him ! Sounds easy, but no, it's not.
    Rocky, 36, muscles and brawn, (security expert for Hudson, 31, rock star with colored hair and piercings, and eyeliner), gets jealous to see Jinx, (who works for DJ Zealous as a sound engineer), and musician Hudson, but it shakes him. It's past time to make his move...
    but then, bodyguard Tito, catches Hudson on his balcony, arms out, looking skyward, and Tito immediately takes him down, taking him to Rocky and Jinx. Jinx knows about Hudson being bipolar, but Rocky did not, which causes problems later.
    The men have a hard talk, decisions are made, and things may be looking up.
    Their ménage is super hot, and we also get twosome action.
    We see them in different situations, and then, it's a sticky situation when Hudson returns from touring, and comes back with surprises, but also a manic episode.
    True love may win the day. We see deep thoughts, huge acceptance, and loving care.

    Popular author Charity Parkerson continues her series of LGBT romance books, MESSY HEARTS, WELL-PLAYED, and now CANDIED CRUSH, which she calls ‘a series about imperfect men with messy lives who find something beautiful with their other halves.’ BEAUTIFULLY TORN is the sixteenth installment. She writes all manner of romance stories – LGBT, bisexual, paranormal, erotica - and all equally well.

    This series focuses on interesting characters for each episode. This time she has created an unlikely pairing of a man who needs security protection and a hired ‘guard.’ Her ability for distinct character development is evident in the opening sentences: ‘’When Hudson Vincent walked through a crowd, heads turned. Phones appeared in people’s hands and lights popped from where people forgot to turn off the flash on their cameras. Hudson ran his fingers through his bright green hair that was shaved down both sides, flipping his mohawk took his picture while he made his way through the restaurant. Light glimmered off the ring in his nose and lip. His heavily lined lids made the boredom in his green eyes even more obvious. Jinx wondered how much of his expression was an act…’ An interesting intro to a romance…
