    The chemistry between Jensen and Brynnlee had sparks from the get-go. Before We Were Us is an age-gap romance that can also cross into the second-chance romance genre.

    Jensen's encounter with Brynn at a bar was marked by a fascinating discovery-she ordered his go-to drink. This unexpected connection sparked their chemistry, infusing the pages of the novel with a sizzling energy that leaves readers yearning for more.

    Both Jensen and Brynn are not looking for a relationship, especially since they both have scars from previous ones. However, the connection these have formed in such a short time is amazing, and it does not want them to let go. Can they let go of their past insecurities and give this relationship a chance?

    Before We Were Us is a well-written romance with wonderful main characters and a fantastic supporting cast, making this story a page-turner.

    Before We Were Us is a story of two people who deserve a second chance at finding that one you cannot seem to live without. Jensen and Brynn find one another through an interaction that is intense and then fate steps in. Their moments in the book made for a great story. Every small and big moment made for a great romance that is filled with intensity, love and lustful intentions. I loved that their story didn’t drag on and it had a good flow from beginning to end. The characters are well written and with the supporting characters blending in so well it sets up the makings for maybe a story about them. I wish the story could have had a little suspense being that the main character was a cop because that would have been so much more engaging for me. This story is a great story of finding that love you can only dream of and I liked that I was able to read it.

    I was really blown away at how good it was. I could not put it down.
    Jenson Steele gives new meaning to Sex on a stick. He is romantic, but also tough as nails. If I was trouble I would want Detective Steele on my case. And let me just say Brynn is awesome. She's tough as nails and has a heart as big as Texas. Together they are magic

    Once again no dry eyes when reading one of C.A harms books and rereading them is like the first time. I love all her books. It’s so romantic and of course some angst to it. It’s just what I love to read. I can’t wait for Taylor’s story but what I’m hoping for is Myles story. I hope he gets one.

    Hi Ya'll! Come join me while I tell you about this book I just read.
    The title is Before We Were Us by CA Harms
    The cover is absolutely yummy but the summary drew me in because of this line right here... ' Because before we were Us, I was a version of myself I'd like to forget.'
    Now don't that make you fall in love with Jenson? And want to read more?

    My favorite main character was its close because i loved both Brynn and Jenson.. but hot cop struggling with a secret? Yeah he wins.
    There is a secondary character I loved. Taylor is kickbutt best friend and i cant wait for her story...but i hope Myles gets one too.

    The plot was intriguing with twists and turns. Plus we get nuggets of cases Jensen is working on but I have to say I'd have liked a touch of suspense or one of the cases bleeding into one of their lives for more excitement.

    The ending is HEA. We get taste of Taylor and i hope we get her story soon
    HFN. BRING IT ON!

    I recommend this if you like age gap, small town romance, a little Angst, Second chances. Strong women leads. And cops! Oh yeah and a good romance with some heat and a HEA.
