    Really enjoyed this story. Kept my interest all the way through. Suspense and romance. A bad marriage, a stalker and a bodyguard who previously broke her heart.

    Lily was heartbroken after Max asked her not to wait for him while he was deployed. The emotional aftermath left her vulnerable to a marriage full of surprises and issues from the start. Add in a stalker, some murders and ex-boyfriend tension and this story will have you captivated. It was an entertaining read with a little bit of mystery and danger to keep the excitement for the next installment.

    This is the first in a new series and this is Maxwell and Lily’s story.
    Lily is a wealthy heiress, who was left heartbroken when Max told her not to wait for him when he was deployed. Now Lily is married to a controlling husband and has become the target of a stalker. Max is now a former Army Special Forces turned bodyguard. Max will do whatever he must to keep Lily safe and protected.
    This is a well written story which is action packed, with family, friendships, emotions, danger, suspense, intrigue, surprises, regrets, tension, mystery, second chances, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and unpredictable addictive page turner.
    I look forward to reading more from these authors’ whose work I recommend.

    ARC review check your trigger warnings before reading this book domestic violence and stalking are discussed throughout this book.

    This is my first book by either author the book was fine I found the story a bit jumbled by the end it felt like I was reading two different stories by two different authors. The fmc Lily kind of got on my nerves and her friends didn't help. I liked Max and his workers, I also liked Lily and Max together but that is about it. The end of the story helped my rating a little bit. I have a little bit of interest
