Body Check @teaganhunterwrites 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Audio book tandem review! I’m telling you this is my new way of reading! Half reading half listening while I do chores so I don’t have to stop my story! I enjoyed this one and because I have had @teaganhunterwrites on my TBR I thought it was the perfect time to read this one! Thanks @valentine_pr_ for my audio code! I think I am just a sports girly in my heart and always will be! Auden and Hutch have a very funny meet cute and a spicy time together. When they run into each-other later it’s a shock for both of them to say the least! The narration on this one was also done really well! I’m an audio girly and the narration can make or break the book for me! Overall this was a fun read with some spice and banter! The Serpent Singles group text cracked me up which had me excited to read more in this series! Good thing I already have Face Off 😉

    Ohh this book took me by surprise. I chose it for the hockey romance but kept reading bc Teagan Hunter draws you in. The story underlines not unique but the way she writes is so fantastic I don’t care. The spice is early and often and the story flows well. Hated the epilogue, I wanted more!!

    My complaints stem from Hutch. When he’s given the ultimatum, he chooses hockey. Auden mentions her relationship with her father and mother and the fact is that her mom never chose them and that scarred her, so now Hutch fails to choose her and treats her like trash but she has to make the next move when she already chose him. Seemed one sided and didnt seem to fit with my expectations for her character. Yes, she’s wacky and finally accepted her love but those emotional scars fearing that her person would disappoint her would definitely have made her not make that move.

    I wish Hutch would have gone to the hotel and found out she moved and sold the company so he then had to do the redeeming. Ugh whatever. Still cute.

    I was really happy to pick this one up! I was like ooo a quick and smutty hockey romance? I'm down!! I loved that Auden was a billionaire boss b*tch and that she was this really fierce business woman. I loved her instant connection with Reed (I can't call him Hutch, I just can't lol) and I loved the smut!! I loved the side characters and thought this had the potential to be really good and fun.

    And THEN towards that last 30 mins of the book I saw the direction the story was going and I thought, there's no way. But then it did and I was immediately enraged. I was really let down with Auden being such a strong FMC and literally half of her personality being about her career only for her to give it all up for a man. A man that didn't even think twice about her when he did what he did and then didn't even have a conversation with her about it. I felt this was really out of character for Auden and it just didn't make sense to me. I didn't understand why someone who was so career focused and passionate about her life's work to suddenly give it all up so easily. I understand it was for love and all that but it just felt like there could've been a way for her to be able to have both. It just felt like a disservice to her character.

    The ending was way too quickly resolved and I thought Auden deserved so much better. This really had the potential of being good but I just couldn't grasp that she would give up her life's work for a man. I felt there should've been a compromise on both parts or something. Anything other than her being the one to give up something major and for him to end up with everything without having to sacrifice anything.

    I rarely ever post ranty reviews but this really bothered me. Although the last 30 mins did me in, I did really enjoy this author's writing and I'd for sure still give the series a go once more books come out. I feel like it's totally up to your own interpretation on how you'll feel when you read it. So don't let my review deter you, I'd still give it a shot

    Auden Sinclair is quite literally one of my favorite FMC’s — she is a billionaire, business owner and an all around bad ass woman. But what I loved about her even more was the fact that she was so kind and they way people respected and supported her made her so likable.

    Hutch — Reed Hutchinson was just a great MMC because for one, he has the classic grumpy side of himself but he also has that soft and caring side that made me melt. Don’t get me started on the dirty talk, I was literally kicking my feet all giddy while reading his words.

    This story kicks off after an adorable Teagan Hunter classic meet cute between Auden and Hutch — then it quickly shifts into them ending up at the same hotel which leads to them having one night together, and nothing else. But then fate really works against them and they keep showing up in the same place together, find out they are working together and realize that their “relationship” together shouldn’t happen but they can’t stay away. Seeing them just being obsessed with each other right from the start had me just living my best life while reading this.

    They are meant to be together and really bring out the best in each other! But what I enjoyed is how their family and friends really played a part in them finally getting together — it’s always the ones who are against commitment who fall in love the hardest and fastest.

    This set up the next book perfectly and I can’t wait to devour it! Also the epilogue, trust me — if you have read the Carolina Comets you will be very happy with it!

    At the end of Neutral Zone I gasped! Hayes was getting traded to the Serpents! I was not ready to say goodbye to my beloved Comets but I was ready to meet a new band of brothers! And the Serpents deliver that in spades! Hutch and Auden have a tumultuous love story, in this forbidden romance and I am here for it!
