    First I want to say that this is the first book I have read by S.E. Jakes and it will not be the last. Holy cow does she know how to write a story with some hot alpha men from the military!

    In Bound by Honor we meet Tanner James who is home from his latest mission with his own personal mission in mind. For Tanner on his last mission he lost a close member of his team Jesse. Tanner held Jesse while he died and Jesse made Tanner promise him something and Tanner told him he would. The thing is that Tanner promised Jesse he would follow through with his wishes and Tanner has never backed down from a promise.

    So Tanner goes out to find Damon Jesse's boyfriend and what he finds is a broken and battered man full of anger and rage. When Tanner goes to the BDSM club to find Damon Jesse's boyfriend he is greeted with anger and once he tells Damon what Jesse's dying promise was Damon says straight out hell no! He tells Tanner that no matter what Jesse wanted he is not going to fulfill his dying wishes. Tanner not really wanting to deal with Damon and his attitude goes to leave the club but is called back by Damon and what Damon does to Tanner both pisses him off and scares him because it ignites something in him.

    After leaving the club Tanner can't stop thinking about Damon and what happened just to him. While Damon is getting reamed out by Law for his behavior Damon admits he is intrigued by Tanner but does not want to get his heart broken again. But the more Tanner and Damon try to stay away from each other the more the seem to need each other. While all this is going on someone is hurting the guys from the club and Law does not want to burden Damon with what is going on but soon someone is attacked and Law has to tell Damon what is going on because the attacks are familiar to both men and they think they know who is behind it but could it be that person or is their minds playing tricks on them? Will Damon open his heart up to Tanner? Will Tanner let Damon in after Damon was so cruel to him?

    I put off reading this book for a long time because I didn't want to cry my eyes out. Turns out it wasn't as bad as I made it out to be. Don't get me wrong, the beginning is definitely sad, it's just not as crushingly sad as I thought it would be. The first chapter was pretty rough. I had a huge lump in my throat and a few tears escaped. The book definitely jumps right in. It's safe to say that I was really angry at Damon while still feeling awful for him. He did step up though so I softened towards him a bit.

    I enjoyed the battle between Tanner and Damon. Both were really stubborn and very set on what they wanted which made them clash quite often. And I liked that they didn't end up in a neat little box at the end. I can't wait to see how they fit in to the rest of the series.

    This is a powerful book. It's incredibly sexy. It's incredibly emotional. It features two incredible alpha heroes that you can't help but to fall in love with. From page one this book propels you into this erotic BDSM story and it doesn't stop until the very end.

    Tanner is bi-sexual, but something about his sex life is lacking. He's not finding fulfillment and as his military life becomes more and more dangerous, so do his sexual experiments....just trying to find that ultimate release. A year ago, he was on a mission with his friend Jesse. Jesse was hit and bled out slowly in the ten hours it took for a rescue to come for them. In that time when he was dying, Jesse extracted a promise from Tanner. A promise that a year after his death, Tanner would go to Jesse's partner, Damon, and have him Dom for Tanner. Tanner has never been a sub, but he wants to fulfill Jesse's dying wish, so on the anniversary of Jesse's death, Tanner goes to the club that Damon owns to tell him what Jesse wants.

    Damon is still grieving for Jesse and does not react well to Tanner's information. In fact, he reacts really horribly and puts Tanner in an awful position which sends Tanner into an even worse downward spiral sexually. Damon is dealing with his own demons. Demons that have to deal with his relationship with Jesse and demons that go even further back than that. He doesn't realize that Tanner is exactly what he needs, but Jesse recognized it.

    Everything that you see in the description above. It's all there and it makes for an incredible book. There is grief. Their is guilt. There is some amazingly HOT alpha sex! The two heroes in this book are amazingly well-written. There is a lot of depth to both of them, as they deal with issues that are not easy. There are some incredible moments of vulnerability for both of these guys in this book which are just so incredibly beautiful!

    I loved this book. It was everything I hoped for and so much more. Just an incredibly erotic read, but also an incredibly beautiful love story.

    長編で、同じような心理描写が何度も出て来たりして、少し荒削りな印象が残る作品ですがおすすめです。主人公が軍人で、出てくるキャラクターに軍関係者とか元軍人が多いです。つまり男らしい強い男たちがいっぱい。SM要素もポイントですが、基本的には主人公の初恋ラブロマンスの展開になってます。軍人萌えなら、是非一度読んでみて下さい。

    I had only read a bit to come to terms with the writing style. In part, it was a little confusing. Styx and LC and like all belong together in the story was evident only at the back end. But the story between Damon and Tanner was very nice to read and I have taken both to my heart :)

    I loved this book, I got all the feels.
    When Tanner first met Damon I could see in my mind the tension, the pride, the promise he made to his Ranger teammate Jesse who was Damon's submissive that he didn't want to be there. And that night started something both men couldn't imagine would change their lives.

    Tanner has been blaming himself for failing to save Jesse, and Damon loved Jesse but their relationship wasn't perfect and they had an argument before he went on a mission.

    I loved how this wasn't a sweet romantic kinda story. Tanner and Damon were dealing with things beyond Jesse and when they actually started getting along things started going wrong at Damon's club.

    I read this book awhile ago and I can still remember the story, it sticks with you. It's like a heartbeat, you can hear it sometimes. I think of this book sometimes just like a heartbeat.

    These were tough men, and I loved the side characters especially Law...im excited to read his story next!
